Value
Most often we take things for granted
And only realized their value when they are gone
How often do we waste time thinking
Of things that are not in our possession
Mulling over possibilities
Of what ifs and maybes in our life
We forget to live in the present
And fail to appreciate every moment we have until it passes
We end up with regrets for not taking each chances and opportunities that came our way
We miss to see the value of things
When we have them in our hands
When we don't need them because they are within...
And only realized their value when they are gone

Visits
I can't wait for these visits to end
For this past three months we've been frequently visiting the hospital
For a series of laboratory and follow up check ups
With different doctors
Today, we made another round
Of visit to the hospital
Another busy day in our ordinary life
I want to take a break from this routine
A change from this monotonous existence
And wish everything goes back to how it used to be
But this is our reality now
Our life has took a different turn
And has drastically changed
In a short span...

Five days from now
April will leave
And May would begin
A constant cycle
Of Days coming and going
Of months ending and beginning
This is the nature of life
It flows in perpetual cycle
Time and season change
But they always go back
To the beginning and eventually ends
As another cycle begins
Grasses grow on rainy days
They die when the heat is unbearable
Yet they grow again after sometime
Much greener than before

My Day
I lost track of time
And almost forgot to write
My entry for the day
It's way past ten now
An hour and a few minutes left
Before my 24 hour period ends
We had a visitor this evening
It was my husband's nephew
And their talk lasted for almost two hours
Enough to make me forget
My daily task of writing
Until I saw the time on my phone
My day was busy as usual
With routine household chores
It was very hot today even at mid afternoon
The heat was almost unbearable
When I hang the clothes outside

Sunset
I miss watching the sunset
The way it slowly recede in the horizon
As its brightness fade little by little
Till the cloak of dusk takes over
It leaves a lingering memory
As the day ends with the fading light
Each sunset is different
Just as how each day differ every day you live
The setting sun reminds me
Of life's changing nature
To savor each moment as it comes
To fully live in the present
And be thankful for each day I live and breathe
