EVE ON THE BEACH
(Not autobiographical)
We booked the hottest week in June
To have our second honeymoon.
Where, as a couple, by the sea,
We refreshed our intimacy…
She comes, a bikinied Eve on the beach,
Offering not an apple but her peach.
Her top comes off, her breasts like clustered grape,
Then off comes the bottom, and I go ape!
For we are now in the naturist zone,
But, like the first couple, we’re on our own.
Like Good Samaritan, I do likewise,
Taking down my trunks to expose my thighs.
In this beautiful, natural context,

COMMANDO
It is a secret that I know;
That she likes to “go commando”.
She comes to me in sexy dress,
With underlying nakedness,
Wearing war-paint upon her face,
That on my skin will leave a trace.
She daringly assaults my senses,
Leapfrogging my moral defences.
With my weapon I take a stand,
And then we grapple hand-to-hand.
I end up piercing her body,
At which she submits willingly.
That she likes to “go commando”.

REPLY TO 'THE MONSTER WITHIN YOU'
(This was inspired by Miss Jayne's poem 'The Monster Within You' on which I have commented.)
This monster I will keep in cage
Till we are wed, then we engage
In staking our conjugal claim
(Think background music of “Je t’aime”).
When our wedding vows have been said,
The beast can come out on parade.
Till then, we keep down its power
Through prayer and a colder shower.

EROTIC VALENTINE MESSAGE
I had a dream we didst entwine
As lovers, on a bed divine,
Exchanging kisses sweet as wine.
You said, “For this, fate did design;
You were meant, no doubt, to be mine.
We are like two grapes on a vine!”
So I will take it as a sign
To ask, “If your heart does incline,
Then, WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?”
As lovers, on a bed divine,
Exchanging kisses sweet as wine.
You said, “For this, fate did design;
You were meant, no doubt, to be mine.
We are like two grapes on a vine!”
So I will take it as a sign
To ask, “If your heart does incline,
Then, WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?”

VALENTINE MESSAGE (UNDER 40 WORDS)
Roses are red, violets are blue;
We may live far from each other’s view
But through your words I do notice you.
If this grips your heart, I leave you to
Suggest, one-to-one, what we next do!
We may live far from each other’s view
But through your words I do notice you.
If this grips your heart, I leave you to
Suggest, one-to-one, what we next do!

I GIVE YOU THIS ROSE
I give you this rose, choose where you wear;
It may be in your bosom, or hair,
Or to the side as on a lapel,
The badge which says that you are "ma belle".
For this is a new variety,
At moment rare - and named after me.
You take me aback with your reply:
“It is so sweet – but these roses die.
A lasting one I do wear for you,
You alone can see – it’s a tattoo!
Come indoors, love, and you can see where;
After all, it is chilly out there!”

RALPH (pronounced 'RAFE')
I always feel secure and safe
In arms of my beloved Ralph.
A man of upright Christian faith,
Who calls small-breasted me “my waif”,
Whose hands, worked at the plane and lathe,
Stir up my skin but do not chafe.

MY SLEEPING GIANT
I am not a doormat pliant
When you wake my sleeping giant
That goes under the name of Lust,
Speaks loudest in the pelvic thrust.
I promised you no easy ride
The day you took me for your bride,
For I will give good as I’ve got
When my fierce passion runs red-hot.
You can’t easily give the slip
To me when you’re in my limbs’ grip.
While all outside is darkest night
We hold each other squeezy tight
In absence of our self control,
Or else out of the bed we’d roll!
For I can ride so good and hard
We might be heard in next backyard!

That goes under the name of Lust,
Speaks loudest in the pelvic thrust.

AFTER DAY IN THE MARKET
(Set in East End of London, earlier era than 'Eastenders'.)
After a day in the market hawking,
Our loyal customers cash out-forking,
And a healthy profit we’re up-chalking
Against the dire poverty that’s stalking.
When our feet have done the homeward walking,
A shared booze bottle we’d been uncorking,
Our hands and our bodies do the talking.
You say you’re my Queen, beg “Do me more, King!”
Nine months later, a new baby’s squawking.

Against the dire poverty that’s stalking.

BLACK-WHITE COUPLE
(Best appreciated as set in the days these were novelties in white communities and coal was the staple domestic fuel. BTW poet is white.)
I am black as coal that gives our home heat;
You white as the milk we drink and bread eat.
Without me you would shiver in life’s cold,
Without you I would starve ere I grow old.
Together we live in holy wedlock,
Our faith and faithfulness be our great rock.
Our mixed-race children bear proud our surname,
And bear their blended colour without shame.

Without me you would shiver in life’s cold,
Without you I would starve ere I grow old.

LOVE LIKE A TATTOO
She wore their love like a tattoo
In or out of other folks’ view;
An acquisition not pain-free
But enhanced sense of her beauty.
It was close to her as her skin,
Giving her her mischievous grin,
Coming across like Mona Lisa,
A sign something special pleased her.
When stood before the mirror, bare
And alone, it was still there.
It was a source of shared delight
And laughter on a dating night.
It came out more in summertime
When the temperatures would climb
And more of her skin was let bare;
If others saw, well, did she...

REPLY TO 'EXPOSE YOUR POETRY'
An imagined,smitten poet's response to poem by Kitty aka Somelikeithot.
It started as a wistful thought
When on that night my eye you caught.
After we chatted, had a dance
I sensed an oncoming romance.
We parted but you left for me
An email address, to contact thee.
I couldn't get out of my mind
Your ample curves, so well defined.
My feelings deepened towards lust
About your shapely hips and bust.
But I feared that you would rebuff
Me for talking in red hot stuff.
My language kept under control,
I tried a way to bare my soul.
