REPLY TO 'THE MONSTER WITHIN YOU'

(This was inspired by Miss Jayne's poem 'The Monster Within You' on which I have commented.)

This monster I will keep in cage
Till we are wed, then we engage
In staking our conjugal claim
(Think background music of “Je t’aime”).
When our wedding vows have been said,
The beast can come out on parade.
Till then, we keep down its power
Through prayer and a colder shower.
