Time Pending
Sometimes you just need a day
To sit back and jam to music
To listen intensely whilst
thinking about the meaning of life
To sit back, laugh and cry
To just take the time to ask why
Why your life is going the way it is?
Why things might not be working out for you?
Then move on to ask yourself when
When will you take that step?
When will you showcase your moves?
As each string of bass,
pulls upon your fate
Playing the tunes of your future
Sometimes you need a day just to jam

Bleeding for You
I wish I could rip out my heart
Just so it can stop feeling anything
I really feel uncomfortable
With how I feel for you
Because I was pretty sure
That my heart has become closed off
Yet here I am
I feel like my heart is beating
A little to fast
I feel like I'm getting attached
I hate that you are consuming
My mind, you have all my thoughts

Death of Romance
He looked her in the eyes
She could only return a blank stare
They cared deeply for each other
But it ends there
She couldn't give what she doesn't have
As much as he could bare
the weight for both of them
She knew that it just isn't fair
So she pushed him away
trying to hide the pain
of hurting someone you care about
She was trying to spare him the weight
of having an unrequited love
However it was too late
He had fallen for her
He had known her like no other
Yet the path they were on ...

Subtle Heartbreak
Has your mind ever broken your heart?
Have you ever looked at someone and thought:
"This just works, we just work"
Then as the fantasy begins to build
As you start to grow in attraction
As you really start to fall for them
Begin to realize that you're in an abyss
The point of falling just doesn't exist
Have you ever watched
As your heart slowly begins to hurt
As your thoughts begin to turn towards you:
"How could I be a fool again?"
Have you ever found yourself waiting
Found yourself...
Have you ever looked at someone and thought:
"This just works, we just work"

Dear Lover
Honestly I am so in love with you
I just love the relationship we have
I love how you make me feel
How when I'm tired
The moment I'm with you
I just feel awake
But when I'm really tired
You just have a way of
putting me to sleep
You're so hot
I'm sure everyone knows that
You just have a richness to you
That only a few can rival
I love it when you're strong
I love it how you're not for everybody
I love the way you look
Each kiss we've shared
Has gotten my heart moving...

I have had to come to terms
with my role in everyone's story
I have come to see myself as the villain
Though my intentions are good
I just end up hurting people
I have idealised many
I have accepted them
for who they are
Not realising
what a deep bond that creates

In everybodies story
I seek no redemption

Her Joy
All she wanted to do was go out by herself
Yet this was a very tough decision
Society had forced her to become a bit of an extrovert
Choosing to walk in groups
When she really just sought her own company
She had to think about what she would wear
Because the society she lived in
Felt easily provoked by what she wore
Her grace was taken for granted
Her kindness taken for advances
As such she had to change herself
Just so she could feel safe
Yet on that day she just
Wanted to be free
She just wanted to be ...

Have you ever told someone

What it feels like to be seen
Right there in silence or in conversation
You look at them and notice something
You notice something that makes you feel uncomfortable
This discomfort is the result of someone looking at you in a way that just pierces your soul.
In that moment you feel naked
You feel bare as you realise that this person can tell that you have a lot that you have been baring.
In that moment you feel vulnerable
You feel like building walls
Yet you realise that won't matter
Because this person is already in
They've already looked at you
