A Flower's Essence
Never fall for a flower, so bright and fair,
Without delving deep, to her roots, with care.
For in her depths, a story lies untold,
Of strength and struggle, a tale to unfold
Beneath the surface, where sunlight can't reach,
Her roots entwine, a silent, strong speech.
They drink the darkness, the earth's hidden grace,
And feed her spirit, her vibrant embrace.

There's Blood on your hands
There's a knife in my heart or maybe my back
I can't really tell which way the attack
I'm bleeding, it's flowing, it's all over my hands
I'm trying to apply pressure so that I can stand
But it's hard to hold the blood and the pain
When all I feel is the betrayal coursing through my veins
It's pouring, it's leaking, I can't stop the hurt
I try to mask it with smiles, hoping maybe these feelings convert.
Standing in my blood as it covers the floor
They just look at me smiling, I can't take anymore
The pain is too much, the cut is...

Soul mates
In the darkness, while the world sleeps;
I close my eyes and I can hear your heartbeat.
Our hearts beat as if one in the same
Playing a song that screams out our name.
Reminding us that though in body we are apart
Our souls are conjoined; sharing the same heart.
Creating a symphony that plays our song.
Remember our separation will not be long

They lie when they say there's life after death.
Because I can hardly muster up my next breath.
I want to cry but will it really matter. As if my tear stained face will make anything better.
There's nothing that will dull the pain I feel.
Nothing will make this un-real.
No apologies will give her back her life.

Do you ever get lost in your emotions?
And you can physically feel your own devotion.
Your Heart racing at the sight of their face.
Your Blood raging while wrapped in their embrace.
A simple touch that makes you melt.
Completely immersed in feelings never felt.

But knowing a simply "I love you" just doesn't compare.

Scared to see what terror hides behind

No peace, no comfort, no joy to be found.
