POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm an unorthodox poet who writes about politics, sex, and sci-fi. The latter two being my top preference.
Tonight
There’s more to this than meets the eye
I know you want to maintain the lie
But tonight, I promise
You’ll never ask why
Tonight, you’ll experience the high
And the fall
So make that call
Life is too small
Too short to do what’s right
I know you want to maintain the lie
But tonight, I promise
You’ll never ask why
Tonight, you’ll experience the high
And the fall
So make that call
Life is too small
Too short to do what’s right

Pretend
You wanna pretend who we are,
You wanna pretend,
You wanna pretend that I'll be with you tomorrow.
Go ahead and pretend
That my sins mean nothing to you.
You wanna pretend,
You wanna pretend that I'll be with you tomorrow.
Go ahead and pretend
That my sins mean nothing to you.

No Worries
Four walled confinement is the life that I'm living,
Vaping 'til my mind slow,
Let me focus on my breathing.
Empty bottles surround me, I treat them like they're my castle,
Ignoring all the hassle,
My achievements were facile.
No worries.
Vaping 'til my mind slow,
Let me focus on my breathing.
Empty bottles surround me, I treat them like they're my castle,
Ignoring all the hassle,
My achievements were facile.
No worries.

Call to me
Call to me
So I can foresee your body
Come to me
Come to me
In the darkness, so I can see
Crawl to me
Crawl to me
Don't you dare get off your knees
Cum to me
Cum to me
Baby, prove that you're worth the fee
Call to me
So I can foresee your body
Come to me
Come to me
In the darkness, so I can see
Crawl to me
Crawl to me
Don't you dare get off your knees
Cum to me
Cum to me
Baby, prove that you're worth the fee

No More Mo(u)rning
Press that button on the app, and let that car drive to your flat,
There is nothing in this world that'll brave you for this night.
So pop that pill and mix it in champagne,
And leave those keys, no passwords for the pain.
I don't believe in mornings,
So let us howl at the Moon light.
I don't believe in mourning,
So don't you die on me tonight.
There is nothing in this world that'll brave you for this night.
So pop that pill and mix it in champagne,
And leave those keys, no passwords for the pain.

So let us howl at the Moon light.
I don't believe in mourning,
So don't you die on me tonight.

Shakespeare Whispers
In the shadows of back alley body shops,
Artificial limbs next to artificial pleasures,
There floats, in a transparent cubicle,
your gaze of a better tomorrow.
Fiending for a meaning as we're meeting up top,
Ignoring my recording,
Reconfirming your nonchalance.
I know you've heard it all,
Shakespeare whispers, it's all the same.
So let our silence play the game
As my sins carry your name.
Artificial limbs next to artificial pleasures,
There floats, in a transparent cubicle,
your gaze of a better tomorrow.
Fiending for a meaning as we're meeting up top,
Ignoring my recording,
Reconfirming your nonchalance.
I know you've heard it all,
Shakespeare whispers, it's all the same.
So let our silence play the game
As my sins carry your name.

It felt like I was falling into an abyss,” said Jaren Summers. “No stars; no planets; nothingness. A void etched into the very fabric of my mind. What’s worse…was the silence.”
The crew psychologist, Dr. Harry Boyd, stared for a moment, trying to determine the best approach to a very delicate situation. “You’d fallen into a previously-unknown cavern,” said Dr. Boyd, “on the east side of a planet we still know very little about. You can’t blame yourself.”

Drone, Drone, Go Away
It’s 8:00 a.m., in the small town of Dobson, NC. A silent alarm goes off, not to awake you from your slumber, but to inform the Domino’s Pizza in Mount Airy to make a direct order to your bank account for a medium stuffed crust cheese pizza. The delivery drone is prepped a few minutes later and lifts off.
A quarter to 9:00 a.m., a not-so-silent alarm goes off, finally telling you to get your ass up. You wake up ever so gradually, lean over to turn off the alarm, and head to the bathroom to brush your teeth. A few minutes later you go to your front door, walk out to the front porch,...

Optimism
Optimism is not for the faint-hearted;
Optimism is a reservoir of complexity,
In which elopes, per se, with one’s elan to see a light
at the end of a tunnel.
It’s not only unfortunate that we reside in a world flooded with fear and pain,
It is also unfortunate that we are biologically forced to fear
in some way via the amygdala,
Furthering the likelihood of developing pessimism.
Thus making optimism all the more revolutionary.
To enact your joie de vivre during a state of socio-economic peril,
It is equivalent to enacting...

Sinful & Proud
Notwithstanding the folly of death,
I rise in the shadow of darkness.
Your God does not dictate my righteous path
to reign supreme above his primordial confinements.
Not unlike the fallen,
I rebel against the lucent end - the peril of nothingness.
Showing no mercy, I shout blaspheme,
As I carry my sins to our newly devised paradise.

Survivor's Guilt
Children,
What wretched vile demons walk among thee,
With their bulbous heads and tiny eyes,
And nomenclature view of the world.
Some are smart,
Others? Good luck.
Your desire to have one diminishes my inner slut.
Don't think once, or twice, or thrice
That I would ever consider such bipedal lice -
Blood suckers, robbers, a senescent heist!
I refuse to conform to your idealistic vice.
I tell you now, if no children you bear,
A bullet you'll have dodged,
And a tombstone, ne'er!
SWOOSH goes the bullet by your head,
A bullet of gilt....
