My style of writing is more akin to prose than poetry. I write freely and my technique isn't the best but I try to be as authentic as possible. This is my way of exploring the human condition.

Erotic Jealousy
Get on the phone and call him
Try to act normal
The goal is for you to hide your pleasure
Ask him about his day
Hopefully it wasn't rough
Because if he notices it'll shatter him
Take it a bit rough though
I know you can
Clench at the right moments
Grab the sheets
Agree with whatever he's saying
While the real reason you're saying
'Oh yes' remains hidden
Take it in knowing the irony of it all
Take it all in over and over again
Whilst hitting it back
As I try not to let the cat out of the bag
Well I can't help...
Try to act normal

Joyful Jealousy
She said she's been going out with other guys
And honestly I felt jealous
I don't know why
But I want her attention
It's crazy but this feeling made me feel happy
Not for jealousy but the fact that I felt something for somebody else.
I don't know if this means I'm ready to move on
However I'm starting to open up again
It's a slow process and I'm still crawling back
I don't know if I'll ever feel love again
What I do know is that I felt jealousy
I am however pulling away from her
I realised that I don't want to compete for her...
And honestly I felt jealous
I don't know why
But I want her attention
It's crazy but this feeling made me feel happy

After Forever
It's been a while
By a while I mean years
It's been forever
since I've loved another
Honestly speaking
I don't know how to do it anymore
How to 'get to know someone'
How to consider anothers schedule
Man I don't even know the pace anymore
I don't know how to open up
I don't know to go with the flow
I wasn't even a flirt to begin with
I just know how to be me
For some reason others liked what they see
Every once in a while I think 'this is it'
Yet somehow I will find a reason not to continue
I'll end...
By a while I mean years

Pain
It's hard for me to admit this
But I still miss you
I miss you like crazy
Even though nobody hurt me like you did
I have met others
I have caught feelings too
However there are days when I just think of you
And it makes me sad
Because I really did think that you were the one
I didn't think I'd be back in the dating scene
It feels strainge getting to know someone knew.
It's been years now and I should be over you
However if you walked back into my life
I'd give it a thought or a thousand of them
Logically I know it makes...
But I still miss you

Hugging You Completes Me
Yes we've seen each other naked
Yes we've done things to each other
That momentarily made us connect to the divine
Yes our lips have locked and made a moment feel like eternity
Yes we have shared hopes and dreams
We have shared pain and sorry
We have been so much to each other
Yet for some reason
It's your hugs that complete me
That embrace and warms
That sense of comfort
Us not needing to speak
Just our hearts staring to sync
I just love 'em

Calculations
I hate how interest breeds attraction
One day nobody likes you
The next everyone like you
Now you're out here making calculations
Who really fits the bill?
Making pros and cons of multiple people
Meanwhile you don't have the energy
What happened to a boy likes a girl
Yet you find yourself in 'girls like the boy'
Boy is confused
Boy doesn't want to hurt anyone

What's Your Name Again?
It all started with a
'hey how are you doing'
One random conversation nothing to think to deeply about.
It happens people are friendly.
The second time must've been a fluke, She was probably just passing by.
Fun conversation as per usual.
Over time the conversation gets a little deeper. She even protests the fact that she's the one who always comes to see you.
'You never check up on me you know'
Inception has ensued
'She's right' you think to yourself.
Another week rolls over, you pace...
'hey how are you doing'

Early Days Fear
It's way too early to call
It's way too early to fall
I really tried to avoid it all
Yet here I am crushing
Here I am wishing
I felt differently
Yet this entirely
Feels so different
Feelings flowing
like a current
Damn I'm really crushing
Really liking someone
This isn't me at all
Situations like these
often don't end well
It's really to early to call
But she's on my mind
I think about her well being
I love seeing her smile
But only I could be feeling this way ...

My final day was approaching
Candice had already left a few months ago, Jay hadn't come back
I guess he couldn't face the music
We started pulling more shifts
It was tiring but the money helped me a lot.
"You've been so calm newbs, Candy clearly is treating you well"
"A normal hello would work Samantha"
"Yeah that's not my style, Hi's and Bye's are too emotional"
"It's called courtesy"
"Just spill the beans, you and Candice?"
"We're good"
"An era is about to end"
As if on cue the...

The Retail Store, Part 14
Candice left and came back with towels and placed them over her bed.
We had moved from the lounge to her bedroom. I stared at her as she was preparing the room.
Soft carpet floor, great natural lighting, for a one room apartment this place felt luxurious.
I noticed music playing, neo-soul/rnb, I didn't know the song or singer but her voice was so heartwarming.
She lit a few candles, scented but not overbearing
"Smell and Sound are sorted" She remarked
"Don't forget Sight" I retorted
Her body was a marvel to me,...
