Sanctuary
Outburst of the century
and I got caught in your raging storm
words like winds lashing at me
surrounded by a hundred faces without form
Defense becomes offense
and none of it makes sense
I can take no more
I'm swimming for the sanctuary of the distant shore.

~The Story~
This is not your story to tell
it's my penny down in that wishing well
my own personal hell...
It's not about how many times I fell
but about my victory and quell,
it's not my mistakes, but the times when I excelled
So if you're going to tell it, tell it right!
It's a story-not about failures, but of might
because no one is inspired by another's problems
but more by how many times they rose up to meet them!

Minuet
Sitting on the front lawn on a midsummer's day
blowing bubbles and watching them slowly float away
a brief momental, iridescent ballet
taking with them the cares of today.
