Chasing A life of never after
I'm forever chasing the smile,
like a drug after that first high,
i remember the feeling yet
i don't remember why
sometime I sit and wonder
where my life is going
is it up? is it down?
there is just no way of knowing
this uncertainty
that swirls inside
is driving me insane
eating me alive
gnawing at my brain
this isn't me you see
the real me is in here
hiding behind a shell
afraid to let you near
the girl inside has a fire burning
a tiger pacing
a devil yearning
a secret side that needs...

That Line of Mine
There's a line I can't cross
That you might find odd
But for me it's a prison
And it's not my desicion
For I want to be free
That's what they can't see
Inside I am screaming
But no one is hearing
They are always assuming
It's not life consuming
They think I refuse
Because that's what I choose
But I tell you its hell
I'm stuck in this shell
That line is my door
I'm stuck to the floor
They think I am lying
But Inside I am dying

This will make no sense...until it does
It begins...a pool of calm, reflections perfect,
stillness undisturbed with the sound of nothing
a steadiness that seems endless
with time that seems limitless
and yet...we know better
the pebble that's thrown as ripples shatter
perfection destroyed with sounds that scatter
forever instilling in quiet minds
peace forgotten your out of time
the emptiness of places that once were filled
eyes lost in worlds out of reach
mouths lost in the art of speech
making sense in words that have no reason
insanity that...

Unrecognisable
There is an image in my mirror looking back at me,
I don't recognise these features in this stranger that I see,
the eyes are no longer windows that show into the soul,
instead they look back lifeless as dull and dark as coal,
gone is the mouth that held a smile or opened wide to sing,
instead there sits a chapped cracked line to scared to say a thing,
no longer is there laughter lines that decorate the eyes,
replaced by puffy pillows from all the rivers that she cries,
where is the skin that shone so...

Living In a False World
I wonder if my day dreams are actually my reality
that this life I'm in is one big lie
that swirls like smoke surrounding me
maybe these visions are the glitches wavering in my mind
if i pressed a little more I wonder what id find
they say the eyes are windows that stare inwards to your soul
what if mine are glimpses of a life that is not unwhole
what if dreams are conscious thoughts inside my actual head
and the sleeping me is an empty pod that lies upon the bed
of course I could be crazy...
