When I need tenderness and a warm embrace,
There is someone I can depend on.
I have a pretty lady who understands my feelings.
When other girls ignored me and left me out,
She observed the wistful look on my face.
Nobody could fix my broken heart except her.

You want to know if I’m in love with you.

Sometimes I hang out with the girls across the street.
I admire their fashionable hairstyle,
Especially the sexy clothes they wear.
I do like the texture of their skin,
And I enjoy watching them rehearse.
There’s no reason to be jealous of them,

Inspired by a photograph
Antessa and I were standing near the rock.
We were posing for the photographer.
Beautiful flowers embellished the gardens around us.
She turned her back to the rock,
I put my left hand around her waist,
And I gently pulled her to my side.
Crabgrass covered the spot where our feet were.
The Assembly Hall was visible in the backdrop.
Scores of people were walking about on the premises.

The Gruesome Massacre in Tivoli Gardens
Compatriots, we must never forget the gruesome massacre in Tivoli Gardens.
Tivoli Gardens has the lowest crime rate, and it is in fact the safest place in Kingston.
Nevertheless, most of the people who live there are treated unfairly by others.
The ruling class callously violate the constitutional rights of the average persons.
Indigent residents are often bullied and terrorised by the armed forces of the state.
The Prime Minister declared a convenient and unwarranted state of public emergency.

The girl who sits beside me in class looks ravishing,
But I'm too shy to tell her that I love her
I write her anonymous love letters each day
And I convey the love in my heart for her
I can’t prevent tears from filling my eyes
Whenever I’m daydreaming about her love
