Can't help but smile
Even if it was only
for a little while
he melted our hearts
with that big ol smile
He stood taller than most men I've seen
and if mad,
man he was meaner than mean
He was smart, keen ,clean
and sharp as a tack
if you did him right
he'd forever have your back
He was a grizzly bear
with a lambs spirit
If you had to get
something off your chest
he'd be the first that wanted to hear it
He loved too much,
everything and everyone
this is true,
He'd give the shirt off his...

Out of the cold
When the winds of life
keep changing
The soul of the beast is alive
The whole world is waiting

that saves our soul
Burning so bright
aint no way to hide
you wont catch me
digging my own hole

if I ever get too old
To find my way

Im still here
He had his demons
the ones that kept him up at night
the kind of evil
only Darkness would bring to light
he would weep for the Forgotten
the Fallen and the ones left behind
he felt so broken, alone and scared
just longing for some peace of mind
I would listen with pain as he described his cause for grief
I would reach out and embrace him trying to offer some relief
I'd say
I'm right here
have no fear you
don't have to do this alone
remember you're not on your own
you can always count on me ...

"Would he do it again"
There was a time,
he didn't have a thought about life
No opinions on what happened
good or bad
no choice on what to do or how to feel happy or sad
It was a dark time in his young life adulthood was forced upon him
at a very young age
his emotions had to remain hidden
he masked his pain
and suppressed the rage
His own well-being wasn't the only
he had to look after
For 3 little Angels depended on his care watching over them, keeping them safe
that's just how it was
for him life wasn't fair ...
he didn't have a thought about life

My sons My sons!
My sons My sons
My beautiful baby boys,
First Connor and Stetson
And now Baby Everett
Each, my little bundle of joys
You each have opened my eyes
And made me realize I had it all wrong
The road I was on, and my way of life
Wasn't where it needed to be all along.
The person I had become
The individual I could see
I knew he had to go, I had to change
To the man I I needed to be
The choice was simple
No other option was left
For my fright was now gone
And my heart you have since kept ...

Humble Man
The things I've seen
And the places I've been
Are not for the faint of heart,
Could lead any sane man
To a life of sin;
Its a weight I carry
Each day and Every night,
It may not look like it
But deep down its a constant fight;
A battle between good and evil
A constant War of right and wrong,
It would be so easy to just give up
Yet i strive to survive
Im just trying to remain strong;
As the years pass
My mind and soul begin to age,
The book that represents this life

Walking down the street,
just my dog and me

at only 14 ..
I was hell bent
to make it on my own

Nowhere bound
headed outta town,

least you aint
in the lost and found,
aint no good life
living like that,
no way in hell
