Jesus like cash

I've never sang in one of them old Honky Tonks
Can't say I have paid the cost,
Of what them great Cowboys lost,

while out punching the trail
cuz I've never done it myself

But theres something about me
 since i was a child
Cant help the feeling of being free
n running wild

Roaming the plains,
 really living lifes game ,
  blowing across the land
 like an old dusty tumbleweed
 idk why its just something
my soul seems to need

Keep your eyes to the sky
and your feet on the ground,
try to stay around that fine line
between hell bent and heaven bound,
Help out who you can
when you get the chance,
plan for tomorrow and let go of your past,
not saying you need to be country,
You just need a little bit of outlaw like waylon And some jesus like cash!

I dont know, whats at the end of the line,
n Im no body to show anyone else,
but I know what's coming for mine...

  It isn't a secret
Don't worry about money or time
You dont get to keep it,
And buddy watch how you spend em,
 N you'll be just fine

I've never been the kind to think about even stealing a dime
no I never rode in a gang  like ol jesse james,
I've rode a train never stood one up,
was broke a few times
never known it to get that tough,

stolen a few hearts,   and a couple I broke in  two,
ya ive hurt some of the best people I ever knew
There's something in my spirit that won't let me break away
just got to keep living what I am day to day,
ill find out who that is when I get there, till then it aint up to me so I Dont care.

Call me what you wish,
after all my time
I think Ive got life's answers
widdled down to this,

Keep your eyes to the sky
and your feet on the ground,
stay around that fine line
between hell bent and heaven bound,
Help out who you can when you get the chance,
plan for tomorrow and let go of your past,
not saying you need to be country,
You just need a little bit of outlaw like waylon
 And some Jesus like cash

We could all be a little more like the man in black,
I'd like to think I carry on a little darkness like that
 And as for ol hoss
he showed me sometimes we got to do things just because
No need to ask
N sometimes there's ones that don't like what your doing
N sometimes You just gotta tell em
To kiss your ass

Hell I don't care if your country
You Just need some outlaw like waylon
And a little
jesus like cash!
