POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Hiya, I'm Narocia but go by many pseudonyms. I don't poet often, but when I do I usually post it here. I usually scribe things 'bout my feelings and thoughts since poetry is a good way to get things off my chest.
Ripped from the Cocoon of False Security, I'm drowning in Futility as My Dreams swiftly Fade into The Void
The ocean’s flipped, it’s plummeting from the sky;
The Earth keeps turning, but it’s burning all while I
Smile at knives an’ medicine but fight it knowing that’s not me. Shut up! That’s not me!
This ain’t the way kid, that’s not how you get free.
Yet I suffocate nonetheless as my brain becomes scrambled eggs,
Searching desperately for any ideas — whatever dregs
I can grasp as my fingers fall through the silky, loose threads
While I quickly descend into the abyss a dozen parsecs from bliss.

The Ones on Top Crush The Underlings as the Former Fall
Prepare for Humanity's Annihilation,
We won't be present for Earth's Reincarnation.
Fire in the Sky, Acid in The Sea;
It's time for our apocalyptic Inundation.
As Gold lines their Pockets and Machines fire Rockets;
As Disease ravages just as War does for Savages,
So do Gales blow, toppling All from their moon-high Egos.
They will gasp for Air in an Atmosphere bare,
Caused by their own lack of Care;
Sure, they care now, yet 'tis too late.
They had many a Chance,
But now, they've sealed their Fate.
All that Debating...

Smile
I wake up in a foggy ocean, feeling neither cold nor hot
I lie there for an hour, floating. . .
My mind swirling lethargically as my unused heart slowly rots.
The dull eyes in the sockets of my mind, opened, yet they see no thing.
Others, close-by, rush around in the far distance
And I remain horizontal as the sounds warp and distort.
And then, I hear a knock.
I apply my makeup and ready my voice prior to answering,
And then with a cheerful smile, I reply
Oh! Haha! I overslept, it seems. Come in!
I go throughout the hours, having a...

Breathe
Slowly, gently
The collective breath of the jade forest wends its way to the boundary of suburbia
The city beyond, packed with zombies bustling to and fro, the neglected, colourful scenery wasted on them
A giant lantern gleaming through the azure ocean of the air above
Lights the way as birds swim across the sky.
Anxious hearts beat to the rhythm of the humdrum as their minds hyperventilate
Quickly, quickly now, we must go faster
Swiftly, swiftly, there's no room for disaster
No time for breaks, nor...

To Be a Man
I am but a man,
A man of mercy…
I love to help, and strive to reach great heights,
As I live in a pure city of good virtues and bright lights;
And yet I could inflict harm within a blink of an eye.
A blink of the eye that would soon turn to grey,
As the colour slowly drained from them –
The life's energy leaving to visit another place.

A Thousand Days of Boredom
The sun rises and I awaken;
The faded golden light gently slipping through the spaces,
Betwixt the dark blue curtains of my mind
Give me a sense of warmth.
And yet, the snow outside makes it seem so distant, and so far away,
That it would almost be impossible to achieve such a feat.
I get up
Out of bed
And put on some new clothes.
I have breakfast and make a cup of coffee
While listening to my favourite song.
I do this every day – and repeat.
I do this every day – and repeat.
Why?
Why not? ‘Tis...

The Tediousness of Life
Days go by and I barely notice them.
I go through life as anyone else would
And accomplish my duties.
I wait for the day where I can be free
Escape the confines of work and just relax.
So I can do what I want to do,
So I can do what I can do well and have fun and live life at its fullest.
Days go by and I barely notice them.
I wonder when I can be free.
I go through life as anyone else would
And accomplish my duties.
I wait for the day where I can be free

Walking Along The Road of Life
He walked the dusty African road, slowly and without changing his pace.
He had a backpack on his back filled with dirty bottles of water and a stale loaf of bread. On his right arm he had an armband made of bronze. It had a picture of an eagle eating the remains of a dead person etched into it with a neat circle encasing it.
The man kept walking until he arrived at a massive baobab tree. There he stopped and sat down, letting out a sigh as he rummaged through the bag, trying to grab the bread which was inside it. Once successful, he ripped of a small chunk and nibbled on it. He...

Irish Poem
My golden sunflower, you look so beautiful on this bright and sunny day.
Sometimes I forget that you have passed away.
And yet I still remember the way your eyes twinkled
On that fateful day when your life was sprinkled.
Over the hills and far away;
And down to the bottom...
Of Sligo Bay.
Sometimes I forget that you have passed away.
And yet I still remember the way your eyes twinkled
On that fateful day when your life was sprinkled.
Over the hills and far away;
And down to the bottom...
Of Sligo Bay.

Keira High Japanese Study Tour
There was a group from Keira High who went across the sea;
Who resided in Japan and were all filled up with glee.
They saw the sights and had delights that were just a bit too strange,
But they survived in the end and their cultural knowledge changed.
First they went to HIP to revise their Japanese,
Then they went to a Japanese school and everyone was pleased.
Many students gave out toys and threw them to the masses;
And then the little kids all ran out in flashes
To get the Aussie souvenirs was quite a lovely feeling;
Which left the little Japanese...

BLIZZARD
Freezing cold whiteness
Blowing fiercely and strongly,
Showing no remorse.

Farewell My Dear Enemy
I will see you in hell where we will both be sent when we pass away. There, you can taunt, berate and argue with me for all eternity. However, even though I may be trapped in the deepest pits of Tartarus with you, I will without a doubt, be the better man.
Farewell My Dear Enemy. You may attempt to reconnect with me, but even in your luckiest moments... you will realise that it was all for nothing
And when you have become deceased,
On your heart I will happily feast.
Letting loose my inner beast,
Not even caring in the least.
On your death...
