You Didn't Call
Today is your daughters birthday.
It's 5 o'clock and you still
haven't even called her.
You don't even care.
Now you're disputing the 209.00
that you owe me for child support
for the last 4 months.
I always knew that you were
messed up in the head
but I always thought you were
a decent dad up until you
started hating me.
Now you're making her
suffer the consequences
by not talking to her.
Luckily, I think she's realized
your true colors because
she hasn't even asked about you
today.
I hate it though.
I hate it...

Thought It Was Over With
Shits gettin' rough
I ain't this tough..
It's got such a hold on me
why cant I be free?
My stomach rocks up
and every bone in me feels fucked.
My hands are just shaking
for that little pack, I am aching.
Just enough to hold me over
I promise it will be the last one ever.
Cross my fingers behind my back
I'm full of shit, that's a fact.
I'm feeling pretty bad
and I look really damn sad.
Make up worn right off my face
I need to get out of this place.
Take me for a drive
I promise just one ride
let me have at it one more time...
I ain't this tough..
It's got such a hold on me
why cant I be free?

A f**ked Up Day
I woke up this morning
just hating myself.
Wishing I was still
sleeping and going into
a different day.
When ever I see my ex...
that night I have horrible
dreams and wake up
with such a chip on my
shoulder.
I was wide eyed
and started to bawl my
eyes out for no reason
at all.
I had NO fucking reason
to start crying.
Preparing for my daughters
birthday, I started getting
happier knowing what a
great day she's going to have
tomorrow.
Then I talked to you and you
made my day...telling me
you weren't...
just hating myself.
Wishing I was still
sleeping and going into
a different day.
When ever I see my ex...
that night I have horrible

We climbed up in your truck
not a person around...

Tomorrow at 1:19 pm...
after 19 hours of gruelling
labor...
you came into my world
and changed my life.
Tears formed in my eyes
and dropped heavily
as I fell in love with those
beautiful blue eyes.
I can't believe it was 5
years ago...
and how you've grown,
my little peanut.
As you say "my bestest
girlfriend ever"....
I look in to watch you sleep
every night in your funny ways
but turn to look at your heavy
eyes and mumbling sweet nothings
out of those pure red lips.

You Cant Do This AnyMore
The control you have over me
over my thoughts, my life,
my peace of mind.
Everything I do REVOLVES
around you...
well, atleast it did.
I don't cry any more at night
my daughter doesn't worry about
me any more.
We chase the chickens and she
"moos" at the cows in the pen.
We laugh...
I haven't thought about crying in
a while now.
I'm still sad though...sad we didn't work
and it has to be like this. Only
sad for Kaelen though.
You tried to mold me into someone
I fought not to be....

The 6th Floor
Today I saw you again
in the hall ways of that
place where we once got married.
The 6th floor.
Now the place where
we will soon sign papers...
saying we're not.
Everything you've ever done
and I, to you...has been
horrible, demeaning and
pathetic.
Even though I remember the laughs
all I can envision is the crying,
the name calling and constant fear
of feeling physical and mental pain.
We're like fire and gasoline.
We can't be together and
we should have realized
this the first time.
I wish I knew why...

You came to see me tonight...
grinning from ear to ear.
Never did I think for a minute
that you would come in here.
See a lonely waitress
in a run down podunk town
watching you walk through the door
look at me and sit down.
You say "hey, pretty lady"
and I couldn't hardly speak
the way he smiled and looked at me
my knees became weak.
You bent over and whispered to me
that I was the prettiest girl in here..
and if I'd like to join you later
to have just one beer.
But I turned around and looked at...
grinning from ear to ear.
