I, I am nothing but a thing
Can you tell me how to get something out of nothing
Cause here I stand nothing but a thing
Created of nothing, existing for nothing
I oozed from the womb
Psych darkened and bent, force into my tomb
The world didn't want me so I demanded more room

Yet I am flesh
There are those that arrived so far after me
Yet they claim to know my origin, why can't they let it be
I was manifested of dark matter and transported to Pangea
My arrival caused tectonic collisions that you wouldn't believe
Water levels risen, continents suddenly created as they divided
I caught a wave on a land mass and decided to ride it
Crashed into North America creating the Appalachian Chain
Populated both land masses through parthenogenesis before taking off again
Took my time across...

I am nothing but a piece of cork, bobbing up and down in a sea of darkness
There is absolutely nothing to grab on to and remind me what started this
Unexpected solar winds often sets my mind adrift
I reach for the only line that I cared to know praying for another lift
Just like a boulder falling into still waters there's a splash followed by waves
Each ripple that tosses me about is a denial to me being saved
Farther and farther I'm being moved away from my center, your loving force
And me an abandoned ship at sea continually being blown off course ...

We Are Our Own Creation
I’m standing at the ground level of existence
Looking around at the ridges and mounds of persistence
The erosion of my depression has terra formed the mounts
I attempt to climb the levels between needs and wants
Each level is sow with a different version of my pain
From row to row I choose to reap me again and again
Calluses built, nails broken, as I climb between levels
At the base, life wasn’t acknowledged as I lied with the devil
But he had no use for humans and he screamed, “fuck earth”
