POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write in an effort to better understand myself and others. These reflections are pieces to a larger shade. Thank you for reading.
Lexicon For Two
Wounded by your silence
A shotgun in bloom
One hundred eyes in dusty walls
This repeated violence
In my hazy saloon
A one man show with no applause
And your bullets sing
Like the pools that drip from me
I cannot shake the sting
From your lone soul-shock slavery.
You are a tyrant
Inscribing love in my tomb
Closing the gate on our song
I am the villain
In this lexicon for two
Scheming beneath even when I'm gone
And that sword you sheathe
Could have saved them from me
Yet...
A shotgun in bloom
One hundred eyes in dusty walls
This repeated violence
In my hazy saloon
A one man show with no applause
And your bullets sing
Like the pools that drip from me
I cannot shake the sting
From your lone soul-shock slavery.
You are a tyrant
Inscribing love in my tomb
Closing the gate on our song
I am the villain

And that sword you sheathe
Could have saved them from me

Sacred Regression
Guided by the markings, in the dusk they glow
Punished by the cravings we abuse to feed our souls
Clutch the air for meaning, gas the light we loathe
Each minute passing by feels like dying to our ghosts.
Thwarted by the blessings, a shrine to our bones
Admonished by the kingdoms they're hiding in the smoke
Cursed their sight foreboding, paid to poison slow
Felled creature left rotting shed your husk and become whole.
Taunted by the warnings, stagehands to the show
Bewitched by the chanting from the jaws of the goat
Born again from...

And That's Okay.
I'm so disgusted with myself,
Over the acid inside.
Too long let this hole redefine me,
It crucifies, a crown of lies.
I've got to dig a way out,
But I still cannot decide.
Once more discourse stretched before me
Like parasites, they eat my pride.
I know the past is a trap shoot,
Feels like I'm waiting in line.
Your labels and fates don't align me
But lets testify: Go fuck your life.
My pain's not a prison, it's a ride
And I promise to give it my all.
There's no point in being loathsome,
Let's just...
Over the acid inside.
Too long let this hole redefine me,
It crucifies, a crown of lies.
I've got to dig a way out,
But I still cannot decide.
Once more discourse stretched before me
Like parasites, they eat my pride.

I Will Lose
You fed me all I know
And you clothe me with all your heart.
You keep me from wanting to go
And built me up for a better start.
You taught me how to grow
And you gave me your strength to fight.
You keep me from wanting to go
And make all my wrongs feel right.
You raised me all alone
And you filled me with all your joy.
You keep me from wanting to go
And fend off my demons deployed.
I know I'll have to lose you too
It hurts there's nothing I can do.
I'm trapped in this divide
And I'm helpless against...
And you clothe me with all your heart.
You keep me from wanting to go
And built me up for a better start.
You taught me how to grow
And you gave me your strength to fight.
You keep me from wanting to go
And make all my wrongs feel right.
You raised me all alone
And you filled me with all your joy.
You keep me from wanting to go
And fend off my demons deployed.
I know I'll have to lose you too
It hurts there's nothing I can do.
I'm trapped in this divide
And I'm helpless against...

Chameleonic
I am over the meadow medley
Bags heavy under bedlam eyes
A symptom of serpents sleeves my urges
Wedlocked to a garish demise
My dreams are satin with passion
Sanguine as it roars from my throat
Each word's a breath that steals what's left
Like a hyena who reads horoscopes
Play pagan to poet to people
Slings arrows imbued by taut
I am over the meadow medley
Done pretending to be something I'm not.

A symptom of serpents sleeves my urges
Wedlocked to a garish demise

In the throes of decay, you're a tulip wilted
But you're still perfect to me
Sometimes I feel like it's wrong to believe I could be just like you
Sometimes I feel like the garden which overgrew.
But you're still perfect to me
Sometimes I feel like it's wrong to believe I could be just like you
Sometimes I feel like the garden which overgrew.

Frostbitten
Hereafter I can feel the itch
Fingers gripping, digging in my skull
If loss were a currency I'd be sickly rich
In lieu of kissing, twisting in life's stitch
There, wading through a jungle
Eyelids lick me bare like a mouth
So careless is my searching
Caressed by bootleg drowning my doubts
Now dance dusty blown by blister
Where minds and voices skip-collide
A bouquet of needles services fervor
Clear to fly towards another winter.

In lieu of kissing, twisting in life's stitch

This Poem Is About My Bed
This poem is about my bed.
My bed is a totem that keeps me tethered
Like roots are to plants that are blooming
Full of earth and sweet notes of mint and honey.
My bed is a drunk driver trying to find itself
On it's way to the fridge half past midnight
Opening the door, closing the door, opening the door
And closing the door realizing we already ate the leftovers.
They were not very good.
My bed is a bad breakup reminiscing about:
Black lipstick, green eyes, pale skin
Which mirrors the moon outside in it's duality;
In it's...

Fiction
I turn my back for a second
Then the dead roses sprouted up from the bottom,
Lacking courage to call your wrongs
And now all of these thorns are leaving me haunted.
Once believed you were my brother
But how could you know when I dwelled in an autumn,
Building these bridges to be sure
If this is depicting at all what I wanted.
You play descriptions reluctant
Like you own the puzzle but don't know the problem,
Lighting up fiction to dispel
The reasons for how all of this even started.
Musings mistaken, a cannon loaded ...
