POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Chain-Smoking and Static
Of the pair of us,
You were crowned with glory.
The parting of two lips on skin,
And I breathe You in.
I feel You in the space where soul meets heart,
And spirit meets bone.
Deep in Your inner glow,
So golden and so bright,
I have become shipwrecked.
My ship beat itself to boards,
My body torn apart.
I fear sometimes to speak,
Afraid that You were never real.
You bathe me in the water
From the purest of all founts.
You give your breath to sate me,
And yet I never get enough.
I smell winter in Your hair, ...
You were crowned with glory.
The parting of two lips on skin,
And I breathe You in.
I feel You in the space where soul meets heart,
And spirit meets bone.
Deep in Your inner glow,
So golden and so bright,
I have become shipwrecked.
My ship beat itself to boards,
My body torn apart.
I fear sometimes to speak,
Afraid that You were never real.
You bathe me in the water
From the purest of all founts.
You give your breath to sate me,
And yet I never get enough.
I smell winter in Your hair, ...

Revolutions (just a simple free-write.)
I watch the sky
Black
Blue
Black
Blue
Always changing,
keeping pace
with the worms beneath the soil.
Stretching wide, my eyes
they water, no blinking.
The revolutions of the orbs
must always be kept watch.
In the darkness, my body
Awakens,
Then freezes with the heat.
Contradictions march
always at my side.
Who am I these days?
Am I the same each night?
No, I can't be.
This can't be.
Who have I become?
Where did I lose myself?
What day, what time?
When will I reclaim what's mine?
Each question...

Demigod
In your guise I perceived the mask of a God,
brilliant with light and without any flaw.
Without any trace of blemish or scar,
your eyes seemed to dance with the magic of stars.
At once all-consuming and filled with such pride,
I hoped for the chance that I'd be your bride.
But the past has undone what might have been,
leaving only a fury that embraces all sin.
I'm betraying all goodness and diving head-first,
not caring what will quench this thirst.
I see flames of agony behind my closed eyes,
all while the last of my sanity...
brilliant with light and without any flaw.
