It's no doubt I'm a menace to white supremacy
So many suidical thoughts have gotten into me
My people still trapped in mental slavery
The cops still torment us on the daily

Every now and then
Or sometimes and again
I still tend to feel cold
From what you did, a long time ago
The pain still shows
But I keep it concealed, so no one knows
Never thought I'd be traveling down the road
Of the pain that has left me scorned
I thought you was mine forever
I thought we would shine together
I thought we could grind together
For worse or better, overcoming the battle
Organizing our lives together
Being able to travel when or wherever with you
I feel so salty like a pretzel

It's too late to atone for the past
But expressing my past feelings should make sense
And it's tough because reminiscing about our broken bond
Gets me wrapped up in my feelings

I'm hungry for more
My hunger wants more
I have dreams to do better things
Seeing myself in a house by the shores
Seeing myself being financially secure
Knowing that I have chances to see the unseen
Chances to experience the unknown
The things that were never shown
To me before
The average hard knock life can be a bore
Danger is lurking for innocence at the corner store
Where shots can be fired at any given moment
Bullets flying, people dying
Parents and children crying
As they see their loved ones lie on the pavement...

Yesterday [Part 4]
This week hasn't been easy for me
Today was really the hardest day for me
As it has for the rest of the family
When we watched them lay you to rest
To keep myself from going insane
I wrote my thoughts away to cope with the pain
But never thought I'd be writing this now that you're in the afterlife
I'm thankful for all of your love, teachings, and sacrifice
It was very difficult to say goodbye
With the family grieving as we wonder why
But you had the bravery to put up a good fight
With the strength of a mustard seed
You still...

Pain
Know pain
Feel pain
And I don’t mean physical pain
I mean that emotional pain
That causes mental agony
You know that emotional pain
That makes it hard for the mind to fathom things
That very same emotional pain
That makes it difficult to overcome the mind games
That very same pain
That drives one almost insane
Yes I know pain
Yes I felt pain
Pain is darker than any shade
Cuts a lot deeper than any blade
Becomes harder to fade
What I wouldn’t give for an even trade
I never gave in or fell under ...

Can you hear my cry?
Do you feel my pain?
Will this touch your soul?
Can you heal this strain?

These thoughts forever burn in my brain

From the problems that causes me disdain
No one knows how the pain of being black goes

Soul Food
Girl you got that soul food
That food that is good for spiritual healing
That good food that has me all in my feelings
Food that nourishes the mind
And make all of my negative thoughts disappear
I thank the most high and ancestors
Because they brought you here.. To me..
You definitely have some good soul food
But I'm not talking about the food we eat every Sunday
Even though you're cornbread fed
Standing 5'5 caramel with some of the most sexiest legs
I'm traumatized by your hazel brown eyes
And even more dazed by the thickness...
