My insides are turning dark as my skin
My mind is turning cold as a winter day in Brooklyn
I'm scared of the thoughts of committing sucide
Maybe i should just take a pill to relax my emotions inside

Oxnard is where I'm born and raised
It feels like home when i see the broken glass on the floor every day
Oxnard is a city full of mexicans

I hate being poor
I hate that i want things but i can't get them because their a price i can't afford

Where us Mexicans in the fields work hard
Mexicans are doing this for their kids and family
Its an every day thing for an illegal in cali

Soy chicano
My parent's were born in mexico
But i was born here
My parents are typical Mexicans working in the fields and drinking beer
I grew up poor
When i was little i use to get my clothes at a ghetto thrift store
I grew up in Oxnard california
City with Mexican immigrants and chicanos
A city that has cholos and marijuanos
I get hate by American's because i can't speak english right
And i get hate by Mexicans because i can't speak spanish right
Its a struggle being a chicano having to put up these fight's ...
