Dance despite the damage
Dance despite the fear
I see stars in your eyes
Eclipsed by saturnine skies
Dance despite the tears
Close your eyes and dream
Dance with me dear
Two hearts beating as one
To the rhythm of the bass drum
Dance with me dear
In this moment
Right now, right here
Two lost souls, yours and mine
Entwined in endless time
Dance despite the damage

Realize...the mind lies
Let me realign your paradigms
Let’s redesign your life!

To know what's really true.
What do you know?

Your thoughts are counterfeit?
Is your truth as true as true can be?
Let down your guard,
and open your heart.

The Man in the Mirror
The man in the mirror pleads
Do your daily deeds
Do them until it bleeds
I looked away.
The monster in the mirror screamed
Silent tears reflect fears so extreme
This can’t be real, must be a dream
I’m on my knees
The monster in the mirror maligns
Reflection unaligned
Undefined designs defy
I’m on my feet
Shattered shards of sharp glass
Reflective reality of the past
Broken and buried in the trash
I’m sprinting

The Ugly Truth
His aesthetics catch your eye,
His charm catches your heart
But to him, a thing...
is all that you are.
You see, he's a pretty lie in disguise,
And I'm the ugly truth, and you...
You look away,
While I see beauty outside and in too.
How many times will you let him hurt you?
How much can your heart take?
You see, he can fake all day...
But, how much can you take before you break?
he lights the gas,
But I, I blow out the match,
He widens the wound... ...
His charm catches your heart
But to him, a thing...

Philosophical evolution
As my mind soars to extreme heights,
like a Phoenix taking flight...
I'm grateful.
Ever grateful for the lessons of my mistakes.
Like Churchill, I failed but never applied the brakes.
I replaced hope and expectation with action
using Shakespeare and Nietzsche's maxim's
I discovered motivation
using Maslow's pyramid of education
And effective communication
through Coveys' observation's
I keep my shadow-self to a minimum
with the assistance of Jung's discipline
My perceptions...

Beyond the Boundaries
I've traveled the world
trekked the terrain
trudged through mud
and suffered through pain
I've worked,
worked my fingers to the bone
worked until I broke my toes
worked until my mind was broke
I've been with the best,
had my heart ripped from my chest
I took her by the hand
Encouraged her to tear it straight from my breast
Suffered the pain...physical, emotional
analytical and psychological
And it's strengthened me...
Evolved me...beyond the physical
Somewhere along...

Coming from an up and comer
An X-rated motherfucker
A lively litterateur
And a psychological connoisseur
Don't be frightened
I'm here to enlighten
But, first, I will break your mind
Only to enliven your horizons
You're living a lie
All your paradigms
All your metaphors
Are nothing more than alibis'
To mask your shame
To protect you from blame
But only when you admit this
Will you be in your lane
I see your red flag
I see you whine and nag
