The Ugly Truth

[font=Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Grande]His aesthetics catch your eye, †
His charm catches your heart †
But to him, a thing... †
is all that you are. †
You see, he's a pretty lie in disguise, †
And I'm the ugly truth, and you... †
You look away, †
While I see beauty outside and in too. †
How many times will you let him hurt you? †
How much can your heart take? †
You see, he can fake all day... †
But, how much can you take before you break? †
he lights the gas, †
But I, I blow out the match, †
He widens the wound... †
But I, I apply the patch. †
He's a comfortable lie, †
And I'm the ugly truth... †
When will you open your eyes, †
And see, that I know the real you?
