Dear Aquarius
Did you know that my heart flutters and flies off whenever you are near?
Can you see it?
Into the sky it goes
Words cannot describe the feeling that I get whenever you are too far away
I cry...
My tears flow like the Erie river
Washing my heart far, far away from my shell
Please come back to me…
I have prayed many nights for a love like this
Dug my hands and knees into the ground and watered the earth with salty tears
Fed my heartbreaks to the sky while cursing myself to bittersweet moments
That I can only wish…had never...
Can you see it?
Into the sky it goes

Butterfly
So many sacrifices and dried tears
Ground littered with dreams of what I used to assume was happiness
Dark clouds drifting over me repeating every promise that you made to me
This heart that you once thought was so easy to break; is so much stronger than you could have ever imagined
I was your causality,
A victim of your lies
The fool that played your game the best way that I could play it
Yet found myself lost in the middle of despair without a paddle to row myself back to land
These lies…
The false hopes and dreams that attracted me to you are...

Too Delusional To Love
I waited for the call, that I knew was never going to come
The voice that would finalize my story once and for all
All of this time I have been waiting for you…
It is silent…there are no needles falling…
Like stones I cast out my thoughts while hoping that one may catch your attention
“As soon as you receive this letter come find me…I am in desperate need of an audience.”
Written in bold thick ink
I pour my heart out to you…
Pressing down onto these keys as though I were Beethoven...
My apologizes…my thoughts are as his ears were…yet still I will do my...

I Wish
I wish that I could reverse the time
To go back to the happy days,
The days where nothing mattered…just the day
To feel the warm sun upon my skin as we made our way to the corner store
Traveled the dirt roads for school…what new adventure awaits us both?
Can we play Peter Pan just once more?
I’ll even be Captain Hook this time around…
Where time has gone, I will never know
From wishing upon a star to watching time pass on to the next chapters of our lives
It seems as though nothing has remained the same.
Like the child that I once was and...
To go back to the happy days,

Beautifully Black
Her black is beautiful
So irresistible she is to me
I stop mid-sentence whenever she crosses my mind
Like warm chocolate she slowly melts as I run my finger down the center of her back.
As she exhales the scent of coconut and shea butter radiates from her…like a breath of fresh air...
I’d kiss her hand a million times just so I can remain in her presence….
She is strong but her words are even stronger
It demands respect
When she speaks all listen
Dazed by the way her words flow out of her mouth like wind dancing over waves
Eyes so passionately placed...
So irresistible she is to me

What Love?
What love is this?
What…love…is this?
I fear this type of love
It shakes me to the core
Freezes my thoughts, and breaks my heart every time it crosses my mind
I just wish you understood
That whenever I close my eyes nightmares that I do not want to welcome, walks right in and make themselves at home
Voices of anger echoing inside of my head like a mass choir in a cathedral church
Taunting me endlessly
As I listen to my heart break
While it weeps an endless river of tears

Let Go
(This is a fictional piece.)
It was like a downpour that I could not escape from
My lungs…filled to the max, as it expanded like two air balloons that were getting ready to take flight.
My body froze…numb to the heat
As chills flowed down though me like a rushing river
Your kisses burn
And your touch is so cold
Layers upon layers of finger prints overlap one another on my skin
Each with their own story… too scared to tell
I am your canvas…the object that you would use to create your masterpiece
But I am imperfect, there are flaws that are not able...

Until The End
I am going to love you until i can longer love you
Until my mind can no longer withstand the thought of losing you
Till that day comes when my ears can no longer hear your heart beat
Love…it is meant to be eternal
Permanent…rememberable
No word…meaning… or feeling can describe the way that I feel about you
I would be an addict if I were to confess my love to you
Bound by a love that I would never wish to be freed from
Like liquid fire you burn straight through me…engulfing everything in its path.
Heating my soul to a temperature that is far more hotter...
Until my mind can no longer withstand the thought of losing you
Till that day comes when my ears can no longer hear your heart beat
Love…it is meant to be eternal

Flow
I can feel your eyes from across the room
Gazing…thinking…calling for me to notice you
Soft breaths…
That is all I hear as your finger runs down the center of my back
Dividing me into halves
Separating me…
Like a river I continue to flow
As I feel the water rush over me…filling my lungs
Tears falling…disappearing
As my cries becomes nothing but mumbles between our lips.
I have waited…for so long
To have this one moment
To walk with you
To share the same space with you
For you to see me.
Examining me…memorizing me
Noting every...
Gazing…thinking…calling for me to notice you

I was in love once
It over took me
Surrounded me, held me
Tighter then I have ever been held before
Two heartbeats…just two
Entwined in a vine of possibilities, lying under rays of hopes and dreams
Paths that were able to be…anything that they wanted to be.
Now when I look into the mirror…the only thing I see is a shadow of you
Your touch no longer lingers on my cheek.
Your heartbeat is so faint; it is as if it was never here
Your laugh…so distant I find myself straining to listen for it.
