Remember
There's still a lot of things
that I'd like to forget
but you I'll remember
you seem so far away
but you're aways right here
when I really need you
and somehow, 7 hours
doesn't seem like that much
when I can hear your smile
it's just a simple thing
but the impression sticks
just like the inscription
I wear your reminder
a simple green bracelet
with one word,
"Rappeler"
that I'd like to forget
but you I'll remember

Hear Me Roar
I never planned
to get this far
My face is laced
with battle scars
I smile a jagged,
blacktooth grin
play games with death
and always win
life left me numb,
it left me blind
it made me hope
that I would die
I've had more loss
than most can take
but I still know
I'll never break
I'm kinda ugly,
I don't care
I leave a lot of people scared
but it don't stop me
anymore
this world
is gonna hear me roar
'cos there's a fire in my soul
that even Gods cannot...
to get this far

Apology
I miss you more than I can say
but I should never feel this way
so don't expect to hear from me
'til I get an apology
I feel it's time I made a stand
you hardly treat me like a man
I don't deserve to feel so low
I'm sorry, but I have to go
I know I'm not the perfect guy
but surely you can tell I tried
as you know why I have to split
you treat me like a piece of shit
I love you more than you could know
but this time I just have to go
so don't expect to hear from me

Sanctuary
I know that we're not royalty
but you will always be my Queen
we'll build a kingdom on a farm
where nature can be safe from harm
days start, and end without a care
we'll sip our drinks in comfy chairs
200 acres, maybe more
where we won't have to lock our doors
Two stories set down way up high
bay windows let the light inside
and we'll keep negativity at bay
in our secluded hideaway
there's nothing I would rather do
then live out all my dreams with you
somewhere we've been dreaming of ...
but you will always be my Queen

I Thought Of You
Got up this morning
saw the dew
froze to the grass
and thought of you
and pondered til
the pot was through
and I imbibed
a cup or two
there's not a lot
that I can do
about it, I
still think of you
and after all
that we've been through
perhaps I have
a chance or two
I saw some ivy-covered trees
today as I passed by a stream
and there was nothing I could do
I saw the life and thought of you
can't even look
at maple trees
I hear you whisper ...

Her lips are luscious
full and round
her eyes, deep pools
I long to drown
flesh so fair
angelic glow
an aura like

a little something

Addict
I take the message, fold it tight
into a shape that's meant for flight
looks good, until it hits the air
and doesn't travel anywhere
I fire it up, inhale the smoke
hold it until it makes me choke
straight to the head, it hits me fast
I give chase, but it never lasts
I cut lines out and rearrange
the end result is still the same
and now I have this horrid drip
that makes me gag and tastes like shit
I let it ferment, then distill
into a jug of homemade swill
can't seem to drink it fast enough

The rest stops
along the infinite journey
pass in the blink of an eye
decay of It's vessel
is like getting out of one cab
and into another
with no weight it drifts
as if drawn by invisible magnets
along an unknown path
an animating force rumored
to serve a purpose
beyond comprehension
widely debated
as narrowly understood
and highly regarded
we all have questions
and a lot of us have answers
but there's only one truth
and nobody has it

What once has me touch the sun
now brings me to my knees
I disobeyed her orders, so
she's anything but pleased
I'm left to think of my mistake
that causes me such pain
'til she decides she's satisfied
I'm ordered to abstain
I know she's haply with herself
she loves to watch me squirm
she tells me now that pleasure is
a thing I have to earn
