Coffee Haiku, a Cycle
Cup of coffee left.
On low wall outside office.
Collecting raindrops.
Two days pass, a third.
Coffee cup remains, sat there.
Is it now more rain?
A light winter frost.
It glazes leaves and walkways.

Every summer we promise
to catch up
but you always find a reason
to be somewhere else
only to call when everyone else
has hung up the phone
You give us stupid titles
like "best friend soulmates"
and send me memes
to let me know you love me
but if I ever held a gun to my head
and needed someone to talk me down
I wouldn't call you, babe
You're my fair weather bestie
and I'm your free therapist
and every time I cut you...

You've lived a true Russian life,
A life etched in pain and heartache,
Where sorrow is the constant refrain.
Your love story, tragic and raw,
Would make Tolstoy put down his pen—
For no words could capture
The depths of your justified bitterness.
It’s a grief that makes the world weep,
A bitterness so pure, so deep.
Mei would stumble, lost for words,
Unable to write a book about you,
For how could any story
Do justice to such a life—
A life torn between dreams and loss?

Another unbalanced calculation
That's keeping you out of the equation
A formula that is rather puzzling
Enjoying while they watch your struggling
Controlling your life, the rich and elites
A vicious cycle that constantly repeats
Feeding addictions corruption and greed
Tears are never cried when they see you bleed
These people sadly consumed by power
They have no remorse, your soul they devour
Eating you up before spitting you out
They take everything leaving you without
You are just a number in their...

The Way Life Goes
Sun pierces through a vast barricade of bark.
Moon filtering through the dream landscape
of the dark.
Those were the days, trees were on fire.
A blaze with the most vibrant orange.
Burning against the evergreen fringe.
Warmer on the heart than the breath of spring.
Reflecting backwards she thought
I guess that's the way life goes.
Acceptance is the secret no one seems to know.
Moon filtering through the dream landscape
of the dark.
Those were the days, trees were on fire.
A blaze with the most vibrant orange.
Burning against the evergreen fringe.
Warmer on the heart than the breath of spring.

Ecliptic Gales
They stared down through some passing clouds
as Titaness with mis-matched eyes
who with their beams might analyze
Terra and her remorseless crowds...
hoping to suck sweet sea born air
by Venus spark and Lunar light
all through the Oceanid night
in squalls of silver Gaea hair...
insufflating the mind eye thrill
for King tide waves and crashing surf
and life returning to the turf
or flying kites from some keen hill,
whereon Zephyrs may just commune
with litter leaves...and...
