JUST WORDS
Every word written could be someone's saving grace
To some just a way to touch base
To others a way to save face
Words embrace
Take place
And in some ways creates space
As deadly as a double edged sword
And deeper than some depths unexplored
Words have power to destroy and restore
It may be ignored
By others adored
But when read right make us FEEL in one chord
Making blank pages the perfect sounding board

What's the purpose of language? That's what the poem approaches...
According the to the Book of Enoch, there were 2 languages: the original language, used as oral communication, which humans used; then there was written language. The Book of Enoch makes a sharp distinction between these 2. Apparently, the art of writing was a considered a dark art, forbidden to humans. It was only when the Watchers--Angels tasked with keeping watch over humans--started to mate with human women, that these Angels taught this, as well as many other practices at that time forbidden to humans: geomancy, the use of cosmetics, the design and manufacture of weapons and armor, and more.
