the original verse , sometimes four lines , sometimes eight...
This was your offer...your idea , so what is important to you ?
What do you really want to focus on , say right now ?
What is in /on your mind / heart ?
Sit with it , no rush...what is *truly* important to you , needs to be said ?
Could be funny , heavy , light , dark , deep...
Then send me a pm with your first verse ,
and we will do that back and forth , until
the poem is done...

but every now and then,
we come up with a theme or genre in the beginning
but rarely have a title in mind
and if we do
often the title gets changed anew,
anyways.

only offering our young friend some pointers or history to this collab gig.

Good idea. Collaborations can give you an idea of how others think and put those thoughts into words. I'm with Blackwolf on this. Share your thoughts on subjects ...other than sex. And then the collaboration starts.
I usually write one stanza, send it to my collaborator...they reply...and send back to me...and so on and so forth.

Hey, I'm trying to meet friends with similar writing style. I write about love and darkness with an rhyming scheme. I would love to share my poems with more people personally that are interested. Follow and comment, and I'll do the same 
i remember a long long while ago of there being several competitions
where collaborators had to enter together on a specific theme of the comp
Someone could run a comp like this and who knows!?
Maybe like minded or other worldly spillers can get to know one another

I highly suggest using this thing called your "Profile" where you can advertise yourself and whatever in particular interests you.
