The mirror was gone, and I thought the shape looked like a vendor booth at a fair, so I made it into one , that can be a wall hanging . omg i  that! so pretty!

Let's see how this posts
that looks really old, like something you'd find in a stephen king book from down some hot old mine pit....
the piece below that, though, is my favourite of all you've posted and they're all just gorgeous. so intricate! what tool do you use to do that? my husband's got a bremel(? that may be entirely the wrong name but i'm pretty sure it's not a breville as that reminds me of toast) with all different heads, but he does a lot by hand just with chisels and tapping. THAT takes him a long time with only one good working hand! The last big piece he made was a sort of totem-pole+birdbox; the pole was a 4by4 wooden post he carved wonderful swirls in then drew designs all over (mainly fish) and then had me tapping chisel-lines all over it for him. then he used a hand carving tool on those before getting out that small power tool for places.

Thank you , Johnny !
Yeah , no toast , Butters...and I am not toasted while working with the antler , either...;)
Matter of "fact" , I have not gotten "toasted" for years...
The dremel is a good tool...some pieces though , require cleaning , then sanding , first ,
then many hours of carving , ( up to 100 to 170 hrs on some pieces ) , then many hours
of sanding with 5 grits of different sandpaper , as clean up \ polishing...;)
Oh , and I hand sand everything...only power tool I use is dremel

oh, i do appreciate the hours that must go into them. beautiful work.
meh, all the skills are his, i was just tapping out the lines for him as per his drawings so he could get going on those. the post changed from angular, dead boring rough-cuts to deep-carved, rounded edges, domed top, wonderful woodgrain revealed and untilised in his patterns, so organic, so tactile. i want him to make us a headboard!

I used to own an antique Dremel set -- inherited from my dad when he died in 1994 because i was the only sibling who delights in taking shit apart and re-purposing the item
----- took apart a the family toaster (1967) to make it more effiecient.
I'm surprised you aren't posting photos of cheese ladened foods here.
