Hanging There
The rope is around his neck tight
giving him no air and shortening
his life by the second,
his last thoughts were blank as if he were
being free'd from himself.
His eyes closed slowly and the sunlight
faded but still shined through his eye lids,
but he could no longer see it.
He hung there with his head sloped down
witha sad look on his face,
a look that showed he wasn't fully
accomplished in this life.
He hung there with no one to find him
and no one to care,
He was lonely but sad and empty as well
as deprived not only by his family,
but deprived from his life and the bad memories he
carried around.
It wasn't him that hung himself,
it was the loneliness that hung to him.
giving him no air and shortening
his life by the second,
his last thoughts were blank as if he were
being free'd from himself.
His eyes closed slowly and the sunlight
faded but still shined through his eye lids,
but he could no longer see it.
He hung there with his head sloped down

He was lonely but sad and empty as well

carried around.
It wasn't him that hung himself,
it was the loneliness that hung to him.

@Donnydarko Thanks for your entry, but for this competition, the poem must be in the form of an image, and no more than 50 words.

Thanks for taking part, however, please turn your poem into an image to enter the competition, There are various websites and apps which let you do that.

I thank you, Ma'am, for the opportunity and for being chosen as a runner-up for my effort, and to congratulate sister Es as cup-winner, and to sister Oxy as my fellow runner-up; both of your entries are terrific! Besides, everyone who felt the spirit to enter their visual poetry earned everyone's respect - will see you all again! ~~Jadey
