with her
her yellow hair in the breeze
you could have knocked me to my knees
no matter what
this pain won't ease
I saw you kiss her lips like rain
Oh the pain!
You went and flushed me
down the drain
Can't you see me anymore?

Our love was like the ocean; rolling, cresting
But now it is like a frozen lake
And you are as cold as the snow
My heart is breaking and bleeding
But you're frozen in place and don't see me
My love is like rain
Falls on you, washing you
But you put up your umbrella
And I am left in the rain ditch
But maybe a small flower of our love
Will bloom in your rocky heart
Maybe a rose, but more than likely a marigold
Because like this poem, they smell like shit

would have no escape.

i thought of a hitting the rope today
