3. “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” —Arnold Schwarzenegger

Not Surrendering

Tears is not a sign of weakness, but
As endurance and a lot of strength.
My struggles do not put me in a rut.

I will never let the deepness and depth
Keep me from floating along. I will go
Through great strides and lengths

To keep living. I will always show
You and everybody else that I am
Strong enough. You will throw

Me a lifeline, but I do not give a damn
About you or anybody else who tries
To weigh me down. You are just a scam.

I want to be the one who always flies
And soars to new heights. I am a devil
And an angel. I will be the one who dies

And comes back. Life is always in dishevel,
But I will always continue to rise above it all.
I am no longer on that low platform and level.

Even with my back up against the wall
I will always survive and never be defeated.
When the world tries to make me feel small

I will be bigger. I will no longer be seated
While my bad times try to catch up with me.
Nothing will ever have me weak or depleted.

# 6

ebb and flow

What began as a tidal wave of poetry
depiciting a hedonistic lifestyle
has become a nomadic mammoth river
moving with the gracefulness of a cello,
swooning to life's ebb and flow
running soul deep and alone.

3.“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”—Arnold Schwarzenegger

I've always loved life

When I was diagnosed,
it was the first of many strings of
medical terms & procedures
over the following years
in a longer string of consequences
from that first diagnoses.

But it was that first one that
escaped the doctor's lips
like a moth that had stolen away
with his words, and flew
into my ear with powdered wings.

Before then, I was immortal,
never afraid of anything,
not even spiders. Silly, isn't it?
Afraid of little creatures.

Now I had little bodies growing inside me.
I rather I had a bowl of goldfish,
or a puppy to raise and make a friend.
My friend would be middle-aged
in dog years by now,
and taking care of me instead.

But that's just it - I'm still here,
and my friend never was,
yet has been an influence for me
in many ways, to give me pause
(chuckles, hearing the pun "paws")
when I have moments or days

resolved to lay me low, and more times
I'd give in and let my spirit
slump from the pain,
and be like a groundhog coming out
after six more weeks of winter, squinting.

But I'd be much worse off
if I hadn't tried to fight a better fight
and give my life's force a chance.
What e'er my ailment's path takes,
No one but I can show God

that I'm ready to fight and live
till its time to be at peace.
And even then
I know I won't be ready.
I've always loved life far too much.

The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone."- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Impetuous laughs

Sober along nights
Killed with happiness
Gifted with laughter

Never an end
Never an enemy
Just like madness.

Located to tranquility
Over the window
Of forgotten memories

I killed you
Inside my heart
My mind burnt.

Never ending stories
Dealing with publishers
Hoping better ending.
