- A Scarlet Beast -

Was it thy hand: that made of me, a scarlet beast,
Oh false divinity; who hath deceived all the masses?
When darkness falls, my time cometh to then feast!
And the hot fires in my heart sing like pretty lasses.
Hotter than Hell and redder than blood they blaze!
My hand shall cast a dark shadow upon desolations,
As: I cast upon all the land my most terrible gaze.
Red gown flowing, I join in infernal celebrations...

Running wildly in the night, I beheld the distant stars…
Back in a time less civilized, upon the world of Mars.
Two full moons hung in the sky, and thick the forests,
I came nigh to where a princess had laid down to rest.
Daughter of a goddess was she, so dear to my heart,
That I vowed to make her mine by every wicked art!
By the hair I took her and she awoke smiling broadly,
Her fanged teeth like a wolf’s, cunning and predatory.
So beautiful and yet terrible was she that I did gasp…
She wrapped her arms around me, an inhuman grasp!

Men called me vampire, consumed by lustful thirst.
Demons and angels I had walked with as companions!
In Eden of old, I was far, far older if not like the first.
But death had its' way with life, in a mad abandon...
Though beyond the cemeteries and tombstones today,
She whom men call Death reigns in splendors below.
With the souls of many kindred at her side and sway!
Those: whom Lilith and I sired, which the gods know.

Oh child of Lucifer, I knew thy mother with equal fire,
And on that evening I basked in the heat of thy desire!
Thy teeth upon my flesh, thy claws scratching wildly…
The woods that became a desert shook, ne’er mildly.
We were as wolves that night, as we howled so loud,
And did all that we pleased, all that is not oft allowed.
Forbidden lust and longing sated, madness so insane!
Pleasure so intense and wicked, that it must be pain…
Inhuman cries of ecstasy, and in thy green eyes bright,
I lost my very humanity, and I found release that night.

They cannot remain entombed, and so they arise all,
When Samhain cometh, once a year, its' chill rising.
Once men called me a god, before my prideful fall!
Though now their fear of me is hardly surprising...
For I was there when the sands of Mars grew hotter.
I was there, when the planet of the gods knew war!
My hands created wonders greater than any potter...
And I loved my goddess, who now is called a whore.

Only we gods of old, could love with such zealotry…
That I worshipped in thy arms, with apostate idolatry.
Like a silver bullet to my heart, the dawn came soon,
And I had to bid farewell to thee and to the moons…
For Lucifer awaited me in her home in the mountains,
A temple on a ziggurat: full of gardens, and fountains.
Whatever lupine spirit had possessed me mercilessly,
Thy passion sated, so that I could depart contentedly.
Some nights I remember our love, and I howl again…
For the wolf is still within me, as new journeys begin!

The Abyss welcomed me, when in exile I fled of old,
Pursued by the angels whom mankind adores as such!
Now I pursue a destiny written by a power more bold.
And when darkness falls, this beast will have much!
Of desire and wanton dreams, to drink of till sated.
Dost thou know my name; I have so many as are true?
I have seen past glory fall, and with succubi mated.
Look in the darkness, for there: where doth ensue...

The revels of the fallen, I shall ever be looking back!
Mine eyes see your own, and we shall be one in time.
Until the stars fade and die, leaving only voids black...
You shall remember my words as spoken in this rhyme.

- Vampire Dreaming -

Part I: Black Ballerina

Black mountains, upon a windswept night in august…
My heart is aflame with hunger and an insatiable lust!
The trees around me are dark, wraithlike silhouettes.
In my mind I picture a ballerina doing her pirouettes,
And my thoughts spin in circles, spiraling into infinity.
The night is intoxicating, as I surrender to it fervently!
Disciple of darkness, wanton and mad as time stills…
I walk the ancient path, excited by promises of thrills.
She is young and lovely, the seraphic image of grace:
Hair of chestnut, eyes black, and a blush to her face!
I feel the smooth skin of her thigh, beneath silk skirts.
We tumble through soft leaves, laughing until it hurts,
And when our lips meet, we move as one in shadow,
Hungry hearts, wanton minds, but spirits not shallow.
I feel her wet mouth on my neck, sharp fangs biting…
As I howl like a monster, ecstatic, maybe frightening.
Mad love of the undead amidst a starry august night,
Two demon lovers, lost beneath the ivory moonlight.
The ballerina does her dance upon that forest floor…
I spin with her through soft leaves, wanton for more.

Part II: Running Wild

We are running together across ravines full of skulls,
The moon is red as blood, our cries as loud as gulls.
Our hearts are beating like drums, thumping loudly…
Her grasp is as fierce as my own, displayed proudly.
I think that mists rise up from the dead faces below,
But it is spirits entwined like lovers, burning to glow.
I catch the scent of their fire and it fuels me ever on,
Their damnation is our elation, upon which we fawn.
Red roses bloom in empty jaws and vacant sockets,
Scarlet as blood: fiery bright as the flame of rockets!
A garden for our delight, a utopia worthy of desire…
But the drums hasten us along, as we blaze with fire.
Two riders galloping off in the distance, as we haste,
Stop not, to see the storm forming swift in our wake.
They escape, in time to hear a solitary animal growl,
Heedless of the ravine, where the dead faces scowl.
The storm urges us ever onward, into domains wild,
Thunder at our heels, our mad hearts no longer mild.
A crimson haze behind us, leaving an ethereal limbo,
Whilst we dance in the darkness: to our alien tempo.

Part III: Break of Day

I recline upon a mossy rock, watching the ballerina,
Lost in her rhythms, and my own mounting delirium.
As she dances with peacock feathers in her hands…
Time passes, like the swift rushing of so many sands.
Green and blue, the colors flash before my hot gaze,
Until I am entranced and drifting within a lusty daze!
The green is the forest; the blue is the morning skies.
Day has come, as the girl’s dance even time denies!
We rush together; hands seeking and finding flesh…
Our warmth as one, in the morning air: crisply fresh.
Madness in our kisses, desire in our very fingertips,
As we merge together, our arms, our legs and hips!
Soon we are one being, androgynous and perfect…
Seraphic in beauty and ravenous as we may reflect,
Upon the dance our feet perform, of life and death!
Then we separate, and each takes a needed breath.
Rays of sunlight cascade down upon the grim earth,
As my mind reels in turns: with a sadness and mirth.
I am walking in a dream; it is a nightmare to awake,
And hunger awaits me, of which I dare not partake.

I'll Beat Your Ass and Take Your Skittles

I do not play
so don't play with me
I'll dig in your pockets
after I beat your ass
and take your skittles,
then I'll be digging for change,
it's time for change

The Memory Rock

he had once affected an erotic mercy
and lent his scent to my clothes
and essence I could grow drugged upon later

that entrapped opiate
lingering within such scant garments
as indigo lace and stained chiffon
the chamois nestled feline into the pillow
at times scattered upon the hardwood floor
to make a shocking quilt

his scent feral, overwhelming
a pungent urgency jolting the senses
that of a wolf within shadow
talons bared, moisture glistening
in ragged crescent moons

and now reliving the spectacle
I lie sprawled on this night rock
as I had once sat upon his lust
straining, alert, engorged
his claws embedded
in the rose petal slime of my sex

he knew that bitter, wet warmth
was the best of me
for he feasted hungrily
noisily ingesting the rolling, fevered pitch
of a slate-hued chasm of ferocity

and now the waves wash over my limbs
this indolent apnea of our satisfaction
and I am maudlin and melancholy
remembering a sigh-like collapse
of all psychic boundaries

but the one pair of stilts that remained
those sulfurous satin nights
when I could not say I loved him

The Beast Inside You

Roaring and stalking, out of control.
The beast inside me, darkens my soul.

The more I try to subdue this beast,
The more it wants to attack and feast.

A wink of an eye, a small friendly smile,
A flirty hello, really drives it wild.

The beast inside me, is really hard to trust,
For when it's unleashed, there's uncontrolled lust.

Stay Way Away

You say, stay away
but you know I could have you any damn time I please
and that turns you on

I only stay away because if someone tried getting in the way of me having you,
I'd have to hurt them or worse,
that includes you

The God of this World (another stupid poem about anxiety)

All things old are coming undone,
unraveling into bed sheets
and auditory hallucinations
as I blindly scream at the walls,
empty,
as they stare blankly back into my soul,
into the very core of the beast inside,
whispering pleas to wake from the slumber,
tickling its feet to make it angry,
teasing it into obeisance.

My eyes sweat down my face in utter exhaustion
as heavy breaths force themselves from my trembling throat,
fists red and tight, ready to fly.

But I am the king of this castle,
the warden of this prisoner of my past,
the captain of the ship of my destiny.

I am the god of this world.
The beast bows to my will
and disobeys at its peril.
