Little Me and the Big Bad Shadows

The sun was going down
I was romantically alone
Not to imagine any trouble
A bit too far from home

This is like the tale of Little Red
The girl with a thick head
Just like that big bad wolf
I invited my demons in
To have a tragic and fatal end

Mother warned me not to do bad things
She told me never to go back again
But I thought she was just pulling a string
So I took that short path into the woods
With a smile and my soul for goods

Something simple to go so wrong
Shadows dancing across the sand
Voices in the distance
This was my granny calling me

A whisper in my ear
To make me jump to the other
It seemed as though it was quite fake
Just like the wolf's impression
I never learn a lesson

To watch something that's not there
Beat me to anywhere
Gave me quite a scare
And my mind started to wonder

What long legs you have
What a soft voice you have
What strange thing you are
Am I the only one seeing this?

That night the last thing I heard was a little girl
But that same voice wound up  in my house
"come and play"
"Play with me"
A great imitation I do say
Thought it was the real deal
My angel had to come and save me that day

What The Buddha Taught Me (true story)

One night in the college apartments my roommates thought
It be a good idea to get high, get high, and get high.
They scored some Buddha and lit up the hydro bong.
I took three hits to the dome and get Zen to the bone.
Sitting without a stir, just chilling like a stone.
Except, the more I agreed with my high, the more my roommate
got nervous, and try to light me on fire.
That's when I had to leave their care, I had to leave their
hospitality.

In my room, door locked, I dropped to the floor.
I started humming and started spinning on the inside.
I was wide awake, sober and spiraling, and I was gone
To another dimension, a cosmic one, in space.
I time traveled and I space traveled. A shamanic journey.
And this is what I saw:

Beings made of light, sitting out in the vacuum of space,
Playing with balls of light, meditating and creating space?
But what were they doing? I had no clear understanding.
As that thought was uttered in my mind, One of the beings
Felt it and offered me a task: "Bring us more people."
The shock brought me plummeting back to Earth frightened and
deeply disturbed, and I ain't been right ever since.

From that day on, I never touched the Buddha or the bong.
And I finally figured out what they were doing and who they are.

They were making Universes, and they were Stars.

Life ain't dark either

Rogues soaring beyond the vault of the heavens.
Virtuous, crippled by tragic omens.
The rich swimming in endless pools of blood diamonds.
The poor loosing crumps of bread to the rich's dogs

Is life fair?
Do the creator care?

Life ain't fair, but it ain't dark either.
I'm black and it still chokes me to the aisle of death.
Why different skin colours to leave the black ones at the mercies of racism?
Why is grieve and joy one sided?

The class of social cadres.
Who deserves the bottom?

If hell and heaven exists, why won't fate preach the true faith?
The holy books wouldn't have been contracditory
Death is cruel, it snatches life from the young
Life is wicked, it scares death from the bones of the aged

Why is death scared of the wicked?
Why is life enemies with the innocent?

Life's a bed of roses with a frame work of thorns
I'd better stand on it's  edge.
An overflowing mug of honey and a little bath with hyssop.
Maybe, I'll strike a balance between the dark and fair.

Ever since I percieved life as unequal,
I've lived to attain equilibrium.

Brothel of the society...

Walking across the million dead...
Never found, why the death???
Sensing the deception with the disconnect...
Plays of illusion... is what being anticipated...

Admiration of the dark...
Greetings from the gloomy infiltration...
Filling the air with a clear message...
Making it's way as a dim divine blaze...

The senses are high as a paper plane...
Propelled by thoughts and expected faith...
Perception getting locked on the haunted soul...
Eliminating, a misfit and a disconnect...

Flowing with the shadow...with a realized dread...
Crossing the mind as a bewilderment...
Laying the soul selectively confined...
Supporting the filth on a sub-conscious intent....
