Recipes for Poets

Poetry Contest Description
Turn a recipe into a poem
Take a recipe and turn it into a poem. Be accurate so we can share! Come on, give it a try.
My example:
Who can resist, these smooth, sweet squares
It is mother’s recipe, but I’m pretty sure that no one cares
Peanut butter fudge, made quick as a wink
Better eat them now, they won’t last as long as you think
Start by melting four ingredients in a pan
Two cups of sugar, one white and one tan
Measure three-fourths of a cup of milk in a glass
And add a pinch of salt, or leave it out, just simply pass
Heat all of this mixture, over medium heat
In a heavy pan, until rolling, stirring constantly is quite a feat
Do not stop, for a five-minute boil in all
And be sure the bubbles continue rumbling into a ball
Remove from stove, onto a pot holder
And stir in twelve ounces of peanut butter
Don’t forget to add twelve ounces of fluff
You remember; the white marshmallow stuff
Half a teaspoon of vanilla and chopped nuts
Eat what you drop; if you are, like me, a klutz
Quickly mix this stirring with a fever
Until it is all the same color
Pour it into a lightly buttered pan
Figure out how big it has to be; I’m sure that you can
And then spread it evenly
After cooling, enjoy cut pieces, one, two, or three

Mushroom Soup
Slice enough mushrooms to satisfy your need
Pop in a knob of butter and cook until they soften
You must keep them moving by stirring at speed
Put in a scoop of flour and stir just as often
Now add a cup of milk or more if you prefer
Bring this mixture to boil, still stirring as before
Add a stock cube or two and water, continue to stir
Simmer well for half an hour, I know this is a bore
The soup is nearly finished
Just blend until quite smooth
Add nutmeg if that is wished
Eating it will soothe

Recipe for a lasting relationship
Starting with mutual attraction
Explore each other's ways
Do any of these cause distraction
Does the sex set you ablaze
Does the style of both lives
Blend in with the other
Coping with the funny ways
Will this cause disaster
Do not think you can change
The habits you cannot praise
Accept them however strange
Or go your separate ways

BREAD
Knead the dough
Please, more flour
Before your roll
Endless attending
Carefully administering
Exerting bosom heaving
Keeping it pliable
Wet intermediately
Moisten malleable
It molds more easily
A gentle ponding
Carefully dominating
Fingers probing
Wheat and yeast forming
Moist lips dusted with leaven
Sighing groaning sweating dainty
‘Oh God in Heaven!’
How you work the pastry
Exhausted, step aside
Rest now woman
And witness it rise
Then put it in your oven
Knead the dough
Please, more flour
Before your roll
Endless attending
Carefully administering
Exerting bosom heaving
Keeping it pliable
Wet intermediately

slide in my throat tonight
grains of your rawness
in drawing wheatish complexions
urges me uncontrollable
to soak you long
the preconditioning
just lay spread in the cool waters
whole night, right
waking up late to a grinding halt
now, your real grind sounds more curious
inner smoothness flows out in a milky pool
quite at ease ..in each grind
repeatable grinds..let me count
one, two and yes.. three too!
gifting you the texturing sugar
almost quadrupling your mass
to fit in just tight and sweet
Will make you more amenable
pouring in your pasty pores
six quenching aqueous volumes
don't you misconceive this, honey!
not yet a dilution in our process
insurmountable stirs you inspire
I do reciprocate
gradual and generous
stirring you to the limits
exploring your horizons
melting butters twice yours
flows in a final golden touch
dusky beauty to furthermore,a dark angel
you transform shedding rustic shyness
our extreme sizzling plays, name this
the caramelization
a nail biting finish waits too--
it's the topping cashewnuts
and well, no tongue-sticklers
just slide in my throat
like velvety silken rope
get this going in your nights too
GI-taggable dazzling dessert,

And Khoys For its tastiness.

A Masterpiece
A pinch of creativity
a whole lot of passion

All-that-Is
I come from a soup.
Colossal, churning, and infinite.
Unimaginable is proportion of the bang that first boiled this soup.
The base, elements neatly arranged on the table,
swirls on His stove. Stirred by a Chef,
it bubbles and mixes to marry the flavors
of all that ever was and will be.
Add galaxies for zest and planets for texture.
Sprinkle with a dash of life,
simmer and serve.
I started as soup reconstituted.
Made with a more carnal and intimate bang
that expanded in more palatable proportions.
Fuse human cells with a dash of love,
Into the oven.
I am made of a soup undisturbed;
combine flesh, nerves, and a brain.
Season with stars and stripes and some ruddy letters for taste.

Following these instructions closest (Be accurate so we can share!) was Gardenlover with Mushroom Soup and then Souladareatease for Cooking with Friends. But, all of these pieces are heavenly! Thanks so much!. Fun.
