It's from one of the best novels I've ever read, one of the few novels I've re-read (and about four times at that). It's a shame that the "classic literature" genre pretty much wholly discounts and excludes science fiction. Proud to represent. =]
small bit of research says there are five in the series have you read them all? pretty decent reviews too. I dunno, Hitch-hikers guide is a classic in terms of popularity, I'm sure there are others, you're just pissed 'cos your favorite book isn't one 
I've read the first three I think, though I really only loved the first. And yes, I'm sure that's the reason for it, though I personally despise Hitchhiker's Guide haha. But that's a story for another day, I don't want to sidetrack this thread any more than I have already. House Atreides, ready to duel.
