I Want A Mate Who Won't Berate Me

I want a mate who won't berate
Me in a nagging way,
Or pester me if I should be
Asleep throughout the day.

I want no wife who makes my life
Too difficult or taxing,
I hate being asked to do a task
Just when I am relaxing.

I can't abide a bride who chides
Me if I fail to do,
The things that she keeps telling me,
That she would like me to.

I want a bride who won't deride
Me if I'm on a couch,
And when I'm loafing on a sofa
Won't become a grouch,

The kind of she who won't want me
To be too strong or fit,
Or if I shirk a husband's work,
Will never mind a bit.

Or if my torso gets more so,
Will love me just the same,
And if I don't buy her things won't
Be likely to complain.

Or if I only stay at home,
Won't tell me I'm a bore.
That is the sort of mate, in short,
Who I am looking for.

Onward to a Beginning

When finally I can say
Let’s move onwards
To a new beginning
I want to hear a silence
Except the chirps
Of the cricket
On warm hearth
And shift pearly curtains
To Never ever-land

I want to hear your smile
Through the words
You say even ever so faint
In scribbled words
You will say
I will meet you
Among the fairy rings
Where flowers bloom
Behind our home

When I finally can say
this day today I traverse
the midnight to dawn sky
the hands entwine will be
Of I, Aurora and you Boreas
To create colours
That blends in the northern sky
rare and eternal

Thus the silver will bind
Your heart
To mine
Fingers alike.

Simply Yes

The flickers of the candle
Blown by the wind
From outside the window
Tonight we wed
Only you and I together

The I do’s in the church
Has come and gone
Families and friends
Have gone home
Tonight we shall truly wed

I take your heart
To beat with mine
I take your love
to answer with adoration
your body my temple

I wed you now
As you take me
One and the same
We will ever be
Bound by these rings

The fusion of mind
The meeting of bodies
The bonding of souls
They become our pledge
Simply Yes.

Learning to Love

http://www.church4wedding.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/How-to-Decorate-a-Church-for-a-Wedding.jpg

The church bells are ringing,
the birds are singing
to everyone's delight;
their duets are in perfect harmony
to the cheers of the newly-weds.

Across the aisle you could see
a lonely heart silently weeping
after he lost his beloved -
a day he will never forget,
across the pages of his mind.

Now that she's gone away
no more worries, no more fear;
not a shadow of her smile
never again pass him by,
not for the longest time.

Karma is his constant companion,
killing him softly every morn;
kaleidoscopic images of her
keep coming back in his dreams,
keg of beer washes his sorrows.

After drowning his pain,
and after swallowing the bitter pill;
again he wakes up every morn
alone, tired of living and forsaken--
at least, he has learned to love
better than not having
to have loved at all...

Wedding Fantasy

If heaven and earth's churches won't bless our union
then what better place to be than in a subterranean--
three thousand feet under the surface of the ocean,
where our witnesses would be the creatures of the abyss.

My bestman would be the big red, three-foot jellyfish,
glowing octopuses would provide luminance
assisted by the red lanterns if they have a chance;
they will brighten our altar as we say our vows -
of a love eternal--deeper than any of the oceans.
Giant tube-worms would line our unfathomable path,
providing colors and energy from chemosynthetic mat;
be careful with your bridesmaid - the Spanish dancer
as it will stick to you, thinking you're an aggressor.
The dumbo octopus and threadfin snailfish would lead the way
as our long list of guests could get lost in a queue:
from cockatoo and vampire squids
to a school of angler fishes and saucer jellies,
just to name a few...
Won't it be better that we just put them in our bellies?

After the reception we'll go straight to Atlantis
where our lost kingdom-- now found awaits...
We will start a new breed of race
where War is engaged in poetic words
and not fueled with greed and financial gain
We will rule wisely, and rise again,
replace this fuzzy world up above
which is beginning to claim our depths.
