Summer and Winter

And a fiery soul was once we had,
A love casted upon the glowing rad...
Even those souls from other seas they can devour,
Beyond shadows of doubt, it’s endless, it’s forever…

Kisses that cries for your name;
Soft murmurs it ignites the flame...
A desire of longing and a promise of eternity,
Shattered in grains and kept with serenity.

And then came winter, it was a deep winter night,
Hence blood filmed her eyes but love at sight…
Chilled with fears it pours a little at a time,
She is dying, frozen with blood all twined...

Winter seems undeviating, gloom is still at sight,
She's yearning for summer but a caress from binding lie.
It was a beast who sealed an anguish from a bloodshed fight,
Forsaken and lifeless as she had her one last sigh...

Abrupt by summer, it was a flaming summer night,
Snow flakes and tears melted hence blood wilted with delights,
Her wintry soul suddenly burst into flame,
Dagger of warmth breathes life into the frigid trail…

 Summer Storm
Fluffy white clouds drift slowly in the azure skies.
The Sun is at its zenith when the heavens decide at this moment to open its windows, freeing its storage.

Big fat drops hit with a pitter patter sound against the hot pavement, releasing puffs of steam off the hot concrete, like small announcements that summer’s heat will find some relief.

The pungent scent of dry dirt fills the air with its sweet fragments, while the soft whispers of tress rejoice for the relief, their leaves rustling in the torrent wind fall.

The ground quickly soaks up the unexpected moist as worms work themselves free to refresh themselves from summer’s dry heat.

I stand in the mist of the downpour with my arms raised, my face facing upward
Like the sudden rain shower, I flood over.

“Let it rain, let it pour, let it help wash away this pain.”

Window Pain
The warped, fogged-up, old window made it hard to see the dreary gray sky and the bleak
whiteness of the freshly fallen snow. But I can make out the children playing happily in
the snow and see them throwing snow balls and making snow angels, while their parents
slaved at the task of clearing the snow from their driveways. Few cars drive down the
street of our neighborhood while I perched in the bay window, mindlessly watching the
outside world for hours on end.

I can feel the harsh winter breeze blowing steadily through the many creaks in the
window pane that should have been fixed long ago, while pulling a woolen shawl over my
shoulders but it doesn't help much. The persistent chill can not deter the salty warm tears
from streaming freely down my face.

He promised to fix the window when we first got this place. He promised to fix the
window when I told him I was pregnant. He'd even promised to fix the window when
we brought the baby home. The day he finally promised to fix the window, he took the
baby with him, promising they would be right back. They never returned.
I lost
everything that cold snowy day when a drunk rammed his car into them, killing my baby,
my husband and my dreams.

Now all I do is sit here staring out of this broken window cocooned forever in my pain
and grief.

Autumn

Falling leaves of brown and red
Falling to the ground in endless cascades
They are dry they are dead
Autumn indeed
With its gentle misty showers
Autumn rain and promise of winter
Among the trees
The dryads dwell
Full well knowing
That sleep is near
For them to retire to deepest shade
Until winter is gone
And spring draws near
As gusts of cold wind
Blasts the glade
There they flee to be seen no more
Until and when spring flowers bloom
Sing them, the dryads their songs once more.

Winter Blooms

There once was a flower who,
In winter would always bloom,
It longed to feel the cold,
So in Spring it would withhold,
Summer it wouldn't miss,
Never wanting the warm sun's kiss,
It was to hot anyways,
For the flower to come out and play,
So there the flower waited,
When the time came it was elated,
To feel the cold wind, makes it sane,
It never bothered it, being so plain,
And when Winter ends,
It waits another year, to be with it again.

The motive

The phrase "going postal"
sprung up years ago when
postal workers, unhinged
by the endlessness of the
mail, brought in guns and
blew away their bosses.

The doctors said it was
brought on by the eternal
stream of mail, that there was
no job-well-done satisfaction,
that the letters just kept on
like Chinese water torture.

After digging out my car
for the third time this week,
and having nowhere to put
the newest snow, with more
on the way, I can at least start
to understand the motive.

Falling leaves

Autumn is arriving,
leaves are dying,
ground is drying,
trees are crying,
falling leaves.
Cold wind blowing through,
the skies are filled with grey and blue.
Of all the colors of the fall,
red is the most vibrant of them all,
falling leaves.
These leaves are growing very old,
trees are growing bare and cold.
Through all the days I've been alive,
I've waited for autumn to arrive,
falling leaves.

A Spring Rain With Winter Wishes

A torment of rain and wasted opportunities washes over
Watering the seeds of regret

They grow, like anything given sufficient sustenance,
and bloom into marvelous patches
that cover and choke the whole field

The only places that are free of this constant reminder are the beaten paths
along which the creatures of habit and the beasts of burden tread.

They are driven by hands that cannot hear
the voices of the empty adornments
and so go about their regular route
Never deviating
Never adventuring
But always wondering about the unknown and untold marvels
that lay in the far-seeming and mystical lands
that are almost visible when they dream

No bird could fly high enough
No fish could swim fast enough
But the echoes still travel
whispering of winter

Season

on fire she rode,
through the labyrinth,
nocturnal bliss.

running free,
from the torment,
she hides within.

her hatred consumes,
now red, a gloomy heart,
a blessing of pain,
her shadow torn apart.

there is the flame,
shrouding broken souls to rake,
she rains upon us all,
the demon of the fall.

the cold she brings,
hunting your senses' thrill,
savage and cruel,
the quiet, numb and still.

life has withered away,
relentless, she fills the gray,
eating the light,
the nights have gone astray.

falling from grace,
never did she dread,
the promise she brings,
of rain, black and dead.

in vain to see ,the horror,
in her wake she leaves,
bleeding the light,
at last, as winter heaves.

the nightmare prevails,
darkness and light that never wane,
she rains upon us all,
the demon of the fall.

{this is one of my band's songs, not sure if it qualifies but i'd still like everyone to read it} :)

You're Winter

The window panes that broke across the full moon,
shared the colours and the empathy of late-mid June
but with it fallen away and nicked to the sunlight-
which was only seen when staring from behind the limelight.

December's andropause,
saw the breaking of Santa clause
and the wheels that glided through littered ice,
to fall again behind Christmas-pudding-spice.
Licked fingers,
pink raw, from nights in,
and the stealthy grin
of December.

I can remember
the streetlights like broken hard cough sweets,
that clung to the chill
and the bony grass crunching beneath our feet.
Longer walks home from town,
as the wind compelled me away from home,
even more than you already did so.

Umbrellas that broke in seconds,
left space for soaking-wet cuddles,
and finding faith in the fog
that briefly danced with our struggles.

I could complain about the walks to school,
how the roast potatoes over-bubbled.
But what I missed the most from winter,
was seeing you so much less troubled

and everyday and every night,
you'd welly-walk me home through snow.
and as the morning wouldn't come round for ages,
it was always colder to watch you go.

How can I forget you

You were so pretty,
Came in a time,
Where the sky
Was full of butterfly
Nice tattoo, a cutie pie

I never believe in it,
Three seasons, that’s it.
Came to my country,
Always sunny, so spring
is like in a hurry.

But,
You,
The spring
The sun, oh
this
Was love.
We mixed all this,
But,
Me
So prejudice
You never care,
And baited my lips.
In front of people
That I could not believe.
Your Dad in shock,
Your Mon there you go,
We hide, and planed
Things that really never
Happens, sad,
You just finished classes,
Mine was the beginning
Of my life, an start.

Remember,
The last day,
Your dad screamed at you,
I was your support,
We went down to
The beach, so the coming out
Sun, the best resort.
Oh, yes it was
And at 12 o’clock,
You and Spring
Were
gone
.
.
.
