Lost Men
( a double Quatern )
For some to whom the years have not been kind,
And beaten into treads of alley cracks.
Where poison oleander of the mind,
Grows pink and scarlet all along the tracks.
Is omnipresent, making all else dim,
For some to whom the years have not been kind.
The remnants of a battle none to slim,
To oust the honored few we leave behind.
The marches in the blinding rain confined,
The ossify of driftwood’s living dead.
For some to whom the years have not been kind,
In olive camaflage of jungle red.
To row a swollen stream without an oar,
Or bleach upon a dune in dreams to find.
Did all the lost men fight a godless war,
For some to whom the years have not been kind.
As if their shadows stay to walk the streets,
The host omnipotent is torpor’s self.
To wander aimlessly, each day repeats,
With nothing left to show for of itself.
Existing in oblivion as truth,
As if their shadows stay to walk the streets.
The price to pay to sacrifice one’s youth,
Will mean the cost of flags like covered sheets.
The timpani of echoed solemn beats,
“When will they ever learn?”, so goes a song.
As if their shadows stay to walk the streets,
In darker bows in search of what went wrong.
Like orca, to bring death before the mast,
Another generation fills more seats.
The overture, their fate has long been cast,
As if their shadows stay to walk the streets.
For some to whom the years have not been kind,
And beaten into treads of alley cracks.
Where poison oleander of the mind,
Grows pink and scarlet all along the tracks.
Is omnipresent, making all else dim,

Oceans stifulled cry
My thoughts of turbulence unseen
No oil on troubled waters slick with olive sheen
I see, and morn the orca In its leap
The circus and the crowds that clap
Our seas awash with ominipresent trash
To blink with minds are so dumbstruck with self ballast
The omnipotence to suffocate
Those micro bead will end up on our plate
The oleander, a beauty and a beast
The poison all ready to ingest
And curse because no warnings signs alarmed
That pretty things can do the greatest harm
Natures overture has now been stirred
The oar we wielded like a sword
That baton syncopates the tempests might
Ineptitude the song , to little much to late
Stare down the barrel of obliivion
And know that nothing can be done
The Goregons Head percieved can ossify
The chance we had and passed it by
Poison chalace was just to large to grip
A headonistic spin to the abyss
To oust all chance of a reprieve
A conjuerer with no trick left up his sleeve
The poisons spreading through the viens
A shutdown and the patients mortal pain
To deny what rely is profane
The tide of trespass of life just throw away
No oil on troubled waters slick with olive sheen

quarantimed twilights of a mind’s starvation
your omnipotent
the organically felt maverick
monopolies
in cryptic ‘vanakkam’ ridges you
mesmerize with
with some scooped out & finely sieved
‘sammanam’ furrows- humbling
in cluelessly contrasting
gravities
you oar & levitate
in a swaying suspension
yet
to the shallowly blatant eyes
they seemingly
ossify as insignificant
forgottens
within the spotless glass doors
revolving
as futuristic present-
its maniacal core meristems
blahs in unreasonably hyped
proclaiming accelerations
your
sepiatic stillness ground
buds sparse in rare amoebic blots
of earthly faded olive inked dotting
random blurbs.. trying
to subtly mutely converse much...
over your such
newspapery charming
black & white aromatic classicism
in a majestic orca symbolism
-the uproariously
printed tidal highs
become
an overnight overture
to an inflammable outbreak
of zealots--
as omnipresent airs
& seeds they sprout
undying radicles of radicalism
now stands out stigmatic to be ousted
as
shredded oblivion strips
dumped by these counted quizzical
days- its
sensexually exploding & nakedly
crowdfunding digital lunacies
still
your smeared off black pearls
daringly bungee jumps to
a widowed nowhere ..in
dimming trails of grainy haze
from the lively irony -the erasingly
nostalgic storming in & out
erratic vignette streams--
"[their randomly rewinding alleys of love
in flickering night lighted eyes... in a dreamy
atmospheric of thickly steaming
gush of smoky orgasmic roadside chimneys
..with the breathlessly blabbered
quick news reels & quirky bit of adverts..
ooze in a late midnights' husky haze, from
the craze of insomniacal FM radios…]"
---dig out
as agelessly memorized, the
flashing streaky fluorescence.. amidst
the amply seducing indigoish
darkness ..in holy whorling
deep oleander blooms
-hardcore seeded
reserves as their killer defensive
cyanide kuppi in a suicidal rescue..back
only to some other intangible hell?

S.O.S.
After the storm,
I was lost in the oblivion of the ocean,
It’s been 208 days
Since The Oleander sank into the sea,
For weeks in a small life raft
I floated for days on end,
Scared and lonely.
Armed with just one oar I fought for my life,
I fought sharks, even an orca,
As the sun blistered my olive skin,
I could feel myself beginning to ossify,
Constantly under peril,
I thought about all my sins.
Did the Lord oust me from civilization?
Omnipresent even at high sea,
When one day far away I spotted land,
Thinking I was delirious,
That it must have been a fantasy.
I reached the beach, weakened and deteriorated,
But the Almighty seemed to have a plan for me,
Now I make this deserted island my home,
I felt omnipotent under the shade of a palm tree.
After months of waiting I heard a sound,
Thinking I was imagining
I couldn’t believe it when I dropped to my knees,
A plane flying over and lower
And in a dramatic overture,
I lit the sign on fire so they could rescue me.

Thanks for your entry, Wally !
Just a note, everyone: this Comp ends tomorrow evening and as public vote decides the winner, it’ll be a while before I can send this to vote —there’s 5 in voting already and 2 more waiting for one of those 5 spots for their turn .
If everyone is ok with that, then thanks for your patience as we wait for our vote-spot, but if a faster finish is wanted, I invite everyone who would like to “vote”, to message me your vote after the Comp ends, and I’ll assign the winner based on number of pm votes. Will accept messaged votes for 48 hours after the Comp ends.
Everyone let me know what you prefer? Thanks!

Ok! The PM vote is the preferred method to assign a winner to this Comp, per popular demand .
There’s still 24 hours left for anyone else wanting to enter a poem, then we wait —anyone wanting to help vote a winner after the Comp closes, send me a PM with your choice and on Wednesday evening, I’ll tally up votes and announce who wins .
