This competition was abandoned by the host, therefore I put it to public vote. I decided to disqualify all but the first entry by each contestant. This is due to the fact that the description implies a single entry "Post your darkest poem" and the fact that there were 74 entries which was a lot for voters to read through! This reduced the number to 52.
The winner of this competition and any runners up were decided by public vote.

i forgot all about this comp until someone commented in the welcome area (a new poet i was welcoming to DU) and congratulated me and i was like, huh? WTF? and did some searching and came here and saw i am the runner-up and so Wow! thank You for the next place here.

You all win in my opinion I love them all so much! Now I have found my favorite poetry book, and it is this thread. Keep writing poems and I hope everyone who reads them is touched by them as I am by every masterpiece written here. I apologize for not being on in awhile I've been focusing my time with college and haven't had too much time for anything else.
