#I'llBeThere

I know what it feels like to be abandoned
It fills you with hopelessness and with a feeling of unworthiness
I never want those I care about to feel that way
Whatever you need, #I’llBeThere.
To distract you from your misery or to give you much needed advice
Whether you like it or not, #I’llBeThere.
I can’t stand injustices or betrayals
I swear to you that I’ll never let you down
The hood always got your back
Through the good times and bad, #I’llBeThere.
You don’t have to change yourself to fit my ideals
I like you just the way you are
My loyalty burns deep within me and will never be extinguished
You don’t ever have to worry; #I’llBeThere.

Where did my #go

was it yesterday that I heard your voice
speaking of a thousand tomorrows
words so precious they made me breathless

you were picking diamonds off sparkling dewdrops
touching them just shattered the illusions
the dreams built by your sweet promises

there was a few hashtags for us them
#loveforever #secondchances #eternallyyours
but they are gone now and I couldn't find them

can you find them again
please?

Gwendoline's Way

Gwen finds him in the local bar
And chatting up another whore
Then showing off his latest scar
So certain that he knows the score

Gwen had packed her favorite gun
A sturdy Magnum 44
And he thought Gwen was having fun
Before she blew him out the door

And now he's with another slut
Still as rotten to the core
Gwen shoots him in his washboard gut
Grins just as he then hits the floor.

#ohf*ck!

How breathless we become
At simple words' recite
With fingers shading lips.

The sounds of “owning clutch,”
“my hands in tresses home”
And “catching me in you.”

How blood can rush away,
Displayed in swimming thoughts
Of flush and wash beheld.

In breathing's catch unsought
The tightening of cloth,
The flood of nip and tuck.

With swirls of pleasures brought
In throbs of whispers’ rasp,
We need the tag - #ohf*ck!

# Karma

They's an old say'n
amid moun'tn folk
true as true can be
I reckon

Ya can't push a snowball
down tha slope
then jes walk away

Whatever it hits
ya responsible;
whatever it destroys
ya liable

Ya can scream
til tha cows come home
Or til tha avalance
covers ya up

Buried in tha drift
of yah own mak'n
still yell'n,

"I was jes tend'n
my own garden!"

Think for ya push
cause if ya ain't taught
by someone, at least
won't be long for ya learn:

Chick'ns always
come home ta roost

Might as well accept
responsibility
an ask forgiveness
for it blindsides ya
knee-deep in shit

Cause ya already stink'n
( pheweeee!!!! )
ta high heaven
of guilt!

Bach! BAAAAACH!

ATTENTION PARTICIPANTS & HOPEFULS:

Here is a recent question I sent in to the HELP DESK regarding an idea I’ve had about a special prize to whomever gets the trophy:

Q: In my Hashtag Poetry comp, could Webmiss approve the winner’s entries’ theme for DU’s theme list?

Entrants submit a poem with their hashtag theme as the title.  The winner would get their theme made official.       ~Jade

A: “Hi Jade,

It's a bit tricky to say definitely yes, because themes only work if enough people are using them to generate a page. If it's something that works on that basis then of course it can be approved.

Okay, here’s how you stand a good chance to have your hashtag theme become part of the DEEP’s legend ( list), if you’re the trophy winner.

Make your theme one that other members will find useful to help readers find a poem of their’s; one that best helps a reader find YOU.  If it’s too obscure it won’t work, thus will fail as a hashtag theme.  There’s lots that will work, and if you have one, write a poem entry about it.  One that’s already entered that might work is Agent Starling’s #Karma.

You’ve got approximately 6 (six) days remaining so this is very doable.  Two entries max; any questions just PM me.  —Jade
