Steampunk - The Barrister's Clock.
It is great fanfare that we congratulate Sir Blackwolf's poem "Manuscript" as the winner of our #Steampunk competition.
A special note of thanks to the winner of the last #Steampunk comp Lorde Viddax for assisting the Poem Metric Meter, in the judging process.

Wowza !
It is with great honor and amazement I humbly accept this award from our
most esteemed host Alistair Plint , as with all the other fine and most talented
participants I was not expecting this to be the outcome of this competition ;
It must be due to a bit of Lancaster's Luck , and was floating in the aether before
manifesting into solidity ;
I must of course thank the artificer of the analytical engine that calculated this
difficult equation , and of all chronometers keeping track of the passage of time ;
Of course again , I thank the builder of the datascreen , and datareader which
allowed me to type , post , and hereby read other submissions , and Master Prince
Plint's gracious announcement ;
I am but a neophyte in the universe of poetry , yet I tip my top hat at all who have
graced these pages with their own masterworks , as you all did a bang up job !
You are all of the first water !
Now , my jerry tells me it is time to celebrate with a glass of fine absinthe , so
to wind up this acknowledgement , again I am in your debt , Master Prince Plint ,
and with a tip of my top hat , I shall adjust my oracular , sign my monniker ,
and go get a bit soaked before I retire ;
Tomorrow I shall be journeying , in my Aerostat , and shall need some winks ;
See you next round !

It has been an amazing journey back in time to be introduced to this theme and to write about it, I enjoyed it very much, thank you all for the support and acknowledgement of my efforts

Congratulations Blackwolf and PoetsRevenge. Even though I was quite out of my depth, I had a lot of fun learning about the 1890's lifestyle and the Steampunk community. Thank you Al for hosting this truly enjoyable comp.
