We got off to a rocky start; however, over the years our age and wisdom took control and revealed what was most important in life - friendship and honesty. Yes, You and me had many a not seeing eye to eye, but we went beyond all that, acknowledging that Poetry is the ultimate victor.
Always appreciated You and Your programs and challenges.
Thank You for always running a NaPo. Many a year i didn't want to write but knew i HAD TO. & during some of them yrs i wanted to quit.
This year, i could have quit anytime but i did not. i kind of felt Eerie egging me on. Can't explain or substantiate that Feel, but it is and was and prevails.
goddamn, i'm gonna miss her and EVERY SINGLE one of You -- even the ones who Blocked me.
DUP, gave us writers a Freedom that no other sites online provide - it's true because i've spent well over 72 hrs without sleep, researching.
& now, we have NO IDEA where to migrate, gravitate...........

I hope to post one more poem before the final exit and closing of DUP. I'm over at Substack for the forseeable future; have been giving what I consider some of my better DUP poems a second outing - as well as a few new ones. But one social media is enough for me so doubt I'll be joining any other poetry website. And now it's back to feet & hands in the soil, weaving & sculpting.
