There is a minimum number of votes an entry needs and it also needs to have more votes than any other entry. It becomes tricky in competitions with lots of entries because the votes are thinly spread across many entries. Also, people don't always want to have to read a ton of entries to pick a winner, so they avoid voting in those competitions. Furthermore, participants sometimes don't want to vote (they can vote, just not for themselves obviously) so that can also scupper competitions with lots of entries.
Bumping this again-- for anyone who recently requested a public vote for their comp, it might be awhile . We're at capacity right now, with 2 comps waiting for a spot.

Just saw this. I’m not really a judge type, but I will try to be regular about voting. I also have trouble picking puppies. Don’t ask ME which one to grab from the box!!💖

3 comps waiting to go to vote-- no room at the voting- inn, so it might be awhile before they can get posted. Please consider choosing your own winner, to not add more comps to the clog up, and not keep your entrants waiting.

I usually bump this thread when we have comps stalled in voting and need to clear room to add more
Today, I'm bumping this because the election in the USA is 2 days away and voting is the topic here in America right now.
That said, I hope that everyone here who lives in the US, will get out and vote for who you believe will best lead our country. If you don't vote at all, you have no right to complain about the election outcome.
Everything here in the US is very politically charged, and there are a few threads in our forums that are also politically ignited. So rather than post this in all the threads, I'm putting it once, here:
Don't get out of hand -- the threads are being monitored more, the closer we get to the election. Watch your words, no personal attacks, be civil to each other.
If things turn ugly here, I will be the bad cop & locking all political threads until the election is over, including any new ones that may appear. That's not to silence free speech, but to put the kibosh on personal attacks against each other, IF needed. If threads get locked, I will reopen them after the election is done.
Some people in America want to see a civil war started, others are afraid of one starting, we don't need one here-- we can conduct ourselves better than that .
