On July 11, 1991, a total solar eclipse occurred that could be seen in Hawaii, Mexico, Central America and also in several South American countries. That day the Mexican photographer Antonio Turok took this magnificent photograph from Chiapas, Mexico.

very cool -- have seen just one eclipse in my lifetime, in Cornwall, -- in 2000 I think. Very dramatic and awe-inspiring it was too.

There are so many amazing photographs. I spent my lunch viewing them. This is a high res from the James Webb telescope.

I've been blessed to have seen two solar eclipses. The one in 2017 was total and right over us. Amazing. This one reached about 85% and was just as amazing.

Everyone should experience it at least once in their life.

That's also very cool. Nature's drama outflanks the lure and appeal of tech-gagetry every time.

Has anyone here used a 3-D printer? My friend ( who is the astrophotographer ) is also creating dishes and other items with his. This is a transparent spiral bowl he created.

On a blackwater dive—unable to see the bottom and surrounded by impenetrable space—he chanced upon a rare larval Wunderpus octopus, totally transparent.

That is truly amazing, on both accounts..., the living scene, and the photographing thereof.
