Easter

For me, its all about  Jesus
My family, friends
The door is open, come on in
we have bread and wine
and a huge dinner table.....

Chocolate Bunnies

To me Easter is very similar to Thanksgiving. Lots of amazing food, desserts and family who I enjoy to be around. I am NOT a religious person at all. My immediate family aren't either. Just like Xmas, there is no true celebration in the deep meaning of what these holidays are about. It's more of a food orgy and welcoming family I don't see to often.

When I was a little kid, the house was decorated with plastic eggs, Easter bunnies, ornate, colorful, flowery decor's (purples, light greens, pink) for spring and other nick-knacks. My mother would try & encourage my brother & I to color eggs. We hated it. The smell of the vinegar and the pointless results made us dread it each year.

Like Xmas and visiting Santa at the mall, my parents would take my brother & I to visit the Easter Bunny. Back in those days the bunny outfits these people wore were quite furry, and deranged looking. Horror movies & Halloween masks, enhanced the features of the bunnies face to create a much more sinister look. I didn't mind. We have a handful of these photos each year that were taken. My brother was usually crying.

Each year my parents would create a basket for my brother & I. We would usually get a toy priced between $5-15 dollars (this is the 1980's folks) lots of chocolates and multi-colored jelly beans.

For many years mom & dad would host Easter Sunday. Many antipasto dishes, appetizers, Italian Bread, Lasagna and the best pastries being bought in Brooklyn. Those were special times.

I try and duplicate this as an adult but the magic and many family members have died.

The Awakening of Easter

In spring’s embrace, where dawn’s light unfurls,
Hope whispers of renewal, a world re-pearled.
Easter beckons with a promise so grand,
A journey of rebirth across the land.

The Earth herself in splendor does wake,
Clad in life, for heaven’s sake.
Buds bloom forth with eager trust,
Rising from the winter’s dust.

In this season, tales old and new weave,
A dance of light, shadows relieve.
Balance restored, day equals night,
In Druidic rites, a sacred sight.

From winter’s silence, we step into song,
Under skies where bright hues belong.
The Druids, in nature’s mystery steeped,
Honored life, its cycle kept.

With open hearts, they welcomed spring,
By stone circles, their praises ring.
Fires lit the night, drums beat the earth,
Celebrating rebirth, the world’s new birth.

Then came the Christians, with light of their own,
A story of resurrection, love shown.
Candles flicker in dawn’s soft embrace,
Songs of hope fill every space.

They gather to honor a promise divine,
From darkness to light, a sacred line.In faith, a testament to love’s enduring power,
A beacon of hope in the morning hour.

Laughter rings, as children seek,
Easter’s treasures, hidden, unique.
Not just a game beneath the sun’s gaze,
But a lesson in overcoming, in finding our ways.

These moments of joy, so pure and so bright,
Remind us of our inner light.
With each discovery, each victory small,
The promise of a new day calls.

Let Easter’s message, clear and profound,
In our hearts, a resonant sound.
We hold the power, in every hour,
To bloom, to grow, like spring’s first flower.

So we walk, with steps bold and true,
On paths of dreams, in morning’s dew.
For Easter tells us, year to year,
Hope is eternal, and always near.

The Teaching about Easter Is Falsehood

I will make this a short composition.
Easter means nothing at all to me.
I do not observe Easter traditions.

Do you know the root of Easter?
Easter is in fact a pagan celebration.
The Bible does not mention Easter.

Good Friday is not in the Scriptures.
Easter Sunday is not in the Bible,
Neither is Easter Monday in the bible.

Bunny rabbit is not linked to Jesus Christ,
Neither is Easter egg linked to him.
Who came up with such foolishness?

Thanks for your participation PittinixDesigns. If you want those questions answered, I'll post here what it all means. It all has a significance. In the end it all is up to you if you want to believe or not. If you believe in Jesus then you should know about good Friday then and how it connects with Easter. But well it's a lot to understand. I'll later post what I can. I just want see what all believe here and it's interesting :)

Where do we get information about Jesus Christ? The Bible tells us. And I am sure that the Bible does not mention anything about Easter eggs, Easter bunny, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, or Easter Monday. The Bible mentions the Lord's supper or evening meal, and it talks about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but there is nothing in the Bible about Easter.

PittinixDesigns I'll later post it all answering ALL that. No it's not mentioned but it symbolizes the tradition of Easter and everything with it. It's how you want to celebrate it and believe. For children Easter day and the eggs and easter bunny is a positive way to celebrate Jesus return from the dead. Promising us hope. For children to understand there's meaning to the eggs and easter bunny. Is what I explained to my daughter to defend her faith as a Christian. Is what ill explain later posting here. Happy Easter, PittinixDesigns btw:)
