It's not only an issue nullified by alleged foreign deplorability replacing observably certain, and therefore confirmed, domestic deplorability, but we also get an upgrade to our national culinary flavorings...which were heretofore as bland as a Nazarene family picnic.
Perhaps the third world has something to offer after all.

Speaking to you as a moderator: I suggest you relocate the poetry/writing threads violating the guidelines of this forum to the appropriate Poetry forum ( as this one prohibits any thread about poetry or writing ) instead of turning your head and focusing on the one thread that doesn't violate guidelines as a whole.
"Truth" and "Right" will always land on their feet no matter how hard you attempt to stomp them out.
Instead of acting biased, why not re-join us and suggest alternative solutions to the growing global issue of authoritarianism. Because earlier in this thread you were certainly participating, and we even agreed on several things.

I like my daily read of Heather Cox Richardson. If those who don't like her could offer a similarly coherent well-researched historically-based alternative from a differing perspective, I'm up for reading that too. So far all I've read of an alternative is a pile of polemicism. Perhaps a properly educated right-wing historian would like to offer their services?

I commented pages back that this particular thread essentially concerns the rise of authoritarianism (in America, but it's happening everywhere) and noted that those who fan the flames of divide-and-rule are laughing all the way to the bank, and the President's/Prime-Minister's office. It's 1930's revamped for the 2020s. I think it should be of critical concern, not least for our children, and their children. This thread brings something to the table on that account. The actions of Trump/MAGA spiking the political process is instructive how authoritarianism takes root in a society.
I know there are people who believe that authoritarianism is the only way to run a country (believing the average person is too stupid to make their own decisions and needs to be told what to do). Well, if you want an authoritarian structure to psychologically cage your life in order to feel 'safe', at least say so - and extol the virtues of Kim Jong Un et al while you're at it.
