A friend of mine who lives in the Gulf Coast sent this last night. She said the hurricane hadn't even made landfall, and it wasn't even high tide yet. Haven't heard from her this morning. Two potential hurricanes: Franklin, in the Atlantic, and Idalia, who made landfall in Florida this morning, could potentially be merging on the East Coast. All our Floridian members safety and shelter to whoever is in the path of these monstrosities.
Okay, I have to say this because, literally. Two weeks ago, some video crossed my desk from a "time-traveler" who was listing the natural disasters of 2023/24. I have no idea when the video was dated or posted, i.e. - weeks before or that day. Anyway, I don't know why I listened to it, but I felt compelled to. The first disaster he mentioned for 2023 was a Hurricane named "Ophelia" that would move up the East Coast around the first week in September. It seems like it mentioned Wilmington particularly, but it could've been Charleston.
I was speaking with my son last week, and we were discussing Hurricane Franklin. I told him about the time traveler's predictions, but the name was WAY off. Then, late Sunday evening, I saw the news about "Idalia", and the prediction it would move through Florida and up the east coast through Wilmington and/or Charleston.
This is just something to think about. Should a time traveler have known the correct name, Idalia? Or a version of Ophelia? I don't know. But the date is correct. So is the hurricane path ( so far ). Make of it as you will. I just pray Franklin and Idalia don't decide to meet on the East Coast because combined would be disastrous.

Jeesh Louise! We're already getting heavy rain from Idalia, but at least western NC isn't in the tornado warning area. Surely these two won't collide. I read two hurricanes was historic and hadn't happened since 1950.
Surely one would push the other out to sea? Everyone in the path of this please stay safe!
