You can find Cipher_O writing beautiful, deep poems that cause the reader to pause and really soak it in.

Again, a huge welcome to the team!

I never saw a pink moon before, but anything's possible with your great imagination and pioneering spirit.  This picture made me think of soaking in a pink crystal salt bath of healing, its very ionizing, this fantasizing....

I was just thinking how I had not been selecting
"stock photos" for my poems...

I do not know exactly what is meant by stock photos,
but I inferred that they mean "copyrighted property"...

But yes...

And visual poetry...

I remember...

Long ago...

Like...

2005...

I built a poetry website...

I used a template but it turned out real cool...

Like my writing was a black and grey aurora...

That took so much work...

Just like my first attempts at publishing books...

But I learned how to type...

And engage my visual cortex and such...

Going to look into software for doing visual poetry...

:)))

You can also take your own photos, or its possible to find sites with free, uncopywritten photos.  Ahavati and Eerie know way more about this and how to create graphics with photos, maybe fancy software, not sure.
But their graphics are amazing.  Can't wait to see mine !

A Pink Moon is a name given to the Spring Full Moon in April by Native American tribes. It's not really pink but symbolizes the pink flowers in bloom.

As a graphic designer, I pay for programs that have libraries of royalty free images. Not sure why I selected this one for your poem, Cipher - it called to me and seemed to fit.

Edit: Also, Nick Drake has a great song titled Pink Moon. Give it a listen. I have all of his CD's. Amazing voice gone too soon.

Please assist me in welcoming Fiftysevenhours to team NaPo! This will be his fourth year as a participant, and his first year on Team NaPo!  You’ll find ‘57’ serving as an edit monitor.

Fiftysevenhours is correct in his statement that “writing and poetry are a life line”. I think many of us would wholeheartedly agree!

57hours .. like the way you place poetry alongside the notion of daily practices that keep one sane -- and appreciative of the truism about tackling big things when they are still small, and complex things when they are still easy. Thanks for joining the NaPo team this year.
