* and lastly have fun
* it will be open to a public vote in the end
Please PM me for questions, comments or concerns.
Example piece
All Too Well
You will remember this moment all too well
As I stood in front of you like the pouring
Rain, but you did not catch me as I fell.
The truth is that you were not soaring
Or flying to rescue me from the pain
I felt in my bones. You were not restoring
My faith in love as in the falling rain
You were not holding my lifeless frame.
You did everything you could to stain
My reputation that along with my name
Was tarnished and torn apart. You will
Think that this was all just a game
To forget about your trauma but I still
Thought it was real and magical. You
Put me back together in order to fill
Me with promises and the truth only to
Tear it all down… making me feel like I
Was the punchline. The color blue
Used to be my favorite but you will try
To make it feel dirty and ugly. I hope
That you will know that the tears I cried
Over the years have nothing on the rope
You dropped so I was hanging on with
Nothing left as you grasp and grope
My hand in the darkness. I was not a myth
Or fiction as I was a real person with a real
Pulse. You could have been a wordsmith
With your hands on me. You made me feel
Something other empty or alone. In that
One fleeting moment I was able to heal
And tried to move on with my life. I was flat
And lifeless without any room in my heart
For anyone, but somehow you came to bat
For a spot, knowing you had a head start
Above everyone else. My guard was up. It
Was clear that you were going to dart
Away without a trace. I was not going to fit
In your arms like old times. You were not
Going to find someone to enjoy the sunlit
Front porch with as you claimed you forgot
All about your past. You will be forever
Untangling and unraveling that one knot
That kept us in a bind. Now you endeavor
The pain I once held onto and you will lay
There awake wondering how you sever
Something that gave you life too. You play
Me for a fool, but I know I will never give
You a chance to make me feel like a gray
Sky for yours to turn blue. I will forgive
You, but do not think that for one minute
What you did will ever outrun or will outlive
The truth you are living in. I am en route
To becoming a better person without
You to drag me down, standing resolute
Against those who are daring to ask about
You, but sometimes all I can think about is
You with sharp edges. I was the drought
As you were the rain. The truth is I was his
And he was mine whenever they ask, but
Now everything sits like the leftover fizz,
Just waiting for the next chapter. The rut
You got me in is behind me because I am
Not looking back and dusting off the smut.

Fake
Fake fake fake
Like the bond whig
You like to wear,
Wanting to look like Maryline Monroe
As she sings ''Happy Birthday Mister President''.
Fake
Like all your Made in China
Louis Vuittons, Pradas
And all the Bling Bling Bling fake jewelry.
Fake
As your terribly long and blood-red nails
As if you want to scratch the living daylight
Out of somebody.
Fake Fake Fake
But one of these days Reality will hit you in the face
And then you will either wake up
Or go away and die alone and in utter Misery.

Lover (Taylor Swift tribute)
Taking in the moments, as you look the other way
the messages, were mine to open
a picture framed I held, so softly spoken
the we, a two, a duet played, day after day
when its my lover, lover, lover, the only thing I crave
The diamonds of engagement, still hold life changing moments
the sparkle of the eyes
a brush that holds a token
your broken smile, that warrants no reply
when its my lover, lover lover, the point we both combine
The cotton and the needle, the seamstress place each stich
the garment thrown about us
was never ours to ditch
the canopy of love is such
when its my lover, lover, lover, there's no power to resist
Polished runes have so divined, dreams, standing there in solid state
a perfect ending, engraved and shared
swollen hearts survive and not deflate
the chain that tempers love, with every stare
that lover, lover, lover, be the keeper, that fate together pastes

Exile (Taylor Swift Competition Entry)
Heart beat lodged in my throat,
Like words on the tip of my tongue
— I swallow hard.
Once, I told tales of tempestuous truth,
And they went scattering
With the urgency of a town crier
And the liveliness of a court jester.
Crying wolf has left me lonely,
And the fairytale has ended
In a blaze
Far more grim than Grimm's gab.
My King uncrowned,
We have disgraced
Every promise made.
Huffing and puffing
Until we are blue and breathless
— I breathe hard.
The solemn silence
In this Hall
Echoes with long gone whispers
Through giddy giggles
Vowing till death do us part
As if to mock the very foundation
Of our home.
A part of me and one of you
Has died, after all, stuck in limbo
— still reaching for one another's touch
in the land of nonexistence
Like words on the tip of my tongue
— I swallow hard.

I was hoping for more entries but it is what it is. All the entries were great, but there was something about your entry slip that pulled me in and kitty, you weren’t too far behind. Congratulations all the way around! Stay tuned for the next one.
