No movement unseen
Fear is breeding
Total surveillance
A prison of our own making
The bricks of freedom
Chipped away
Right before our eyes
Used to have a voice
Now silenced by the watchers
Running on empty promises
A little hope
Is more destructive
Than no hope at all
Cell door slightly ajar
Wave goodbye
To any rights
You thought you had
Believable lies
Have brought us here

Trump's America
I live in a world where it is better to be white than it is to be black,
And a city that condones putting babies in cages.
I want to cry, and tell everyone not to look away.
I want to scream until my throat is full of blood, force them to look at what they've done
They will support babies in cages, and black men being shot,
because they looked like the suspect.
But once they can no longer get haircuts, or go to church,
They say that they are imprisoned, They riot.
If black people were to protest they would be met with rubber bullets and mace,
But white people are met with kind police and an occasional disapproving face.
I live in a world where Mexicans like me are seen as lazy, and uneducated,
And told that I am illegal, even though I was born right here.
I am spit on, and called a wetback.
This is not my world, nor my society.
I do not belong in this fucking place, filled with hate.
