Case in point two.

I wonder where all the peace and light has gone?, "search for truth" has gone?

Masks slip away,,,,uncomfortable isn't it.

The unflinchingly brave and well researched journalist John PIlger on "what the government is hiding from you" about Covid 19.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt58it26jCs

(I struggle to feel any pity for Julian Assange, but appreciate John's opinions, and stand to be corrected. His work on the ongoing crimes of discrimination of Australian aboriginals a few years ago was very uncomfortable for his home nation)

Standard response. When a conspiracy theorist is pushed to actually having to do or predict anything, they immediately move to personal attacks.

You have responded to script.

As have you in a typical cognitive dissonance manner. You label any information deemed not a credible source as tin foil hat conspiracies. There is a reason the media play that card, to prevent people doing the critical thinking themselves, rather the television program said so.

Ten plagues of COVID-19 how viruses work. Sam  Vaknin raises some very interesting points. Such as the social isolation is the incorrect way to go about this. We should have isolated the vulnerable and left the rest to their own devices to get herd immunity, how we are handling this now will increase the chances of the virus mutating.
He also brings up the point I have raised. This social isolation will kill more people than the virus. Suicide, homicide, stress due to job loss ect.

Was there foreknowledge of the pandemic.
I post this one because at the beginning of the Sam Vaknin video, he says he is shocked some people as saying this is a Government take over.
The deaths caused by this as small and medium business are decimated will be in the millions.
No one is talking about the decimated supply chain.

It is obvious that this event is designed to crash the economy and bring in a new order. As the bankers hyperinflate the economy many will die and that Hemi is genocide.

I find it chilling all these tanks and mraps being deployed across America. Those vehicles are not designed to help people.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

[quote-476708-hemihead]

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The charlatan who produced the "water memory" research was unable to repeat her results, despite considerable funding to do so, unless her or one of her people was in the facility doing the testing. The methodology was repeated by several research facilities, because of the size of the funding on offer to reproduce it, and no one has ever been able too. It was of interest because the claim (and the subsequent ones that this could also be transmitted over phone lines) would have "broken" our current physical understanding. Despite being offered, several times, a $1M prize to replicate the result, they have not done so. This is all on the public record.

My rule is simple. I will believe anything, and I mean anything, you can prove. This is hard.

For instance, when Edwin Hubble applied the basic physics of redshifting to his night sky observations, and found that all galaxies are moving away from each other, AND ACCELERATING, both of which are intuitively frightening, and having read how his observations worked, I am forced to accept this.

What's so bad about that? If you run the arrow of time backward it shows there was a "big bang", where all matter come from nothing. Everything came from nothing. That is stupid shit, and required extraordinary evidence to be accepted. The evidence has been provided, and so I accept this as truth. The discomfort in in the obvious next step....what kicked off "something from nothing". Right now that question stands unanswered, and lies with the philosophers and theists, who produce nothing.

The second part, that the rate of expansion of the universe is increasing, is even weirder. It means I have to accept some unseen force, and unseen matter, to drive this acceleration. I have to accept that everything I see and interact with is just a tiny part of our actual physical reality. This is fuckin' bullshit, to put it plainly, but the evidence is clear that the rate of expansion is indeed increasing.

Physicists now think that there may be an even weirder explanation for these things, that is being hinted at in what experiments are being planned. The uncomfortable potential truth that we are embedded in an multi-dimensional lattice work that is only discernible to us in our three dimensions, and that it might also mean that there are parts of the larger universe that we will not ever be able to access, are both unsettling and unsatisfactory to me. If they are proved, I will accept that reality, and my discomfort with it.

An open mind, a truly open mind, requires courage, requires you to test the assertions of others, requires you to accept things that do not suit your world view.

Hunting around the internet to reinforce beliefs you already have is not an open mind. Rather, it is the exact opposite, where you reject all you disagree with, and accept what suits you.

Then you attack people who decide to ask questions on how you came to your views.

I think you need to be braver.

(water memory: think that through. Really think it through. The water that comes out of your tap has been shit, piss, flem, blood, mucus, semen, bile and whatever else countless times...it really has. That means yeah, ok it 'remembers' that time you waved your sacred onion/chrystal or whatever over it, but holy shit, think of what else! I'd never touch the stuff if I actually believed that.

You may look for yourself how many times the Thames river water has been over or through someone before it reaches any one user.....)
OOOK let me explain it's all well and good This is all on the public record.
and these so called scientists put to shame
But when ones uses the net as a library
and not just click the link
or just look at the first you tube doc that you see
without looking at the for and against
without thinking what are the possibilities
with a little logical reasoning
one tends to believe ALL these public records
one forgets
how the news is today
with their twisting the truth and their deceptions
trying to twist our perceptions
is no different within the scientific community
you have to read between the lies
you do understand the word theory
the theory of how the sun works
the big bang theory
the theory of evolution
the theory of dark matter
and ALL the other theory's
if you have a human minded mentality
YOU HAVE TO LOOK
at the for and against
like the thunderbolts project
like the BANNED ted talks
and there are many others
YOU HAVE TO LOOK
at the scientists
WHO ARE NOT ALLOWED
in what we would call
the main stream
THEN AND ONLY THEN
can you apply the ability
that we are all
supposed to have
a little common sense
logical reasoning
on what are
the possibilities
Just hunting around the internet to reinforce beliefs you already have is not an open mind. Rather, it is the exact opposite, where you reject all you disagree with, and accept what suits you.

Then you attack people who decide to ask questions on how you came to your views.

I think you need to be braver.
I think you need to
not only look at orthodox scientist
but also those
who have climbed out of the box
as a scientist once said
scientific consensus
hands up those who agree
should never be allowed

When one is
playing the game
sWORD fighting
with words
forcing them into
a psychological corner
with logical reasoning
one never wants them
to admit anything
just to Acknowledge
that they could be wrong
so in their
quiet time
when they revise
what they said
in the game
and still believe
what they say
a rematch is needed
and this time
it could be you
that will have
to Revise
What You Say

Kinda busy right now, so a two- for-one response.

I am certainly wrong. 100% wrong about lots of things. Wrong more than I’m right. No dispute.

Science has been manipulated in the past and doubtless still is: tobacco, thalidomide, vehicle safety, early IUD’s, early silicone breast enhancements. The list is massive.

This does not mean we have to listen to people who pray on poor scientific literacy, who make money from selling books they say were dictated to them by aliens. At some point you have to decide, on balance, which voices are speaking with most credibility.

Drone, look up the word theory. You have the meaning of the word wrong, not I. You are mistaking the word theory for the word hypothesis.

Carpe, you are right to fear power grabs. It can be demonstrated by the US president 8 hours ago stating he has total authority over when states come out of lockdown. This is an attempt at the authoritarian rule you keep talking about.

A planned genocide to destroy the economy is baseless fear-mongering, while the true conspiracy happens live on prime time.

Cognitive dissonance is the ability to keep competing beliefs or ideas in your head but still believe you have a coherent world view.

We all have that in some degree. Thinking otherwise is itself a cognitive dissonance.

Well I hope your dolphin-doctor never finds the time

I got half way through your link and fell asleep, I was very tired due to working my arse off on my living room project. I'm sanding walls and stuff today, so will read the rest later. Interesting nonetheless.

Coincidentally, they had some dogs on the morning programme here today, talking about exactly that and how they are training them to detect the corona virus.
Apparently canines have over 220 million olfactory receptors in their noses compared to humans mere 6 million-ish.

Likewise Hemi I am also wrong at times we are human afterall. Same with personal views and perspectives to how as individuals we perceive this collective existence.

That power grab in the US is exactly what I have going on about. Who also happens to have the biggest military and hardware.
The planned collapse of the economy is not baseless, quantitative easing serves only the bankers.
Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws.” Mayer Amschel Rothschild.

Hemi what do you think will happen to the millions that have now lost their livelihood because of this.

It is my view that this pandemic is a smokescreen to cover up the financial mismanagement by the bankers. These stimulus packages are akin to putting your finger in a hole in the dyke.

Here was my question at the top of page 24 (on my computer at least)

Hemi,

have you ever made a decision based on 'gut-feeling'?
In which case, was it also rational? And scientific? And fact-based
?

First of all thank you Hemi for an interesting answer, which confirms the role of gut-feeling in management decision-making, noted not least in a Harvard Business Review article of the 1980s (if I remember correctly). It was research done to investigate whether managers actually made 'rational' decisions based on fact-finding, something it was assumed they were paid for.

That said, the following long answers sparked by my question are interesting. Science will eventually catch up and explain the mechanics of gut-feeling in terms of concepts and measurings it is as yet not capable of. Science is always limited by what it can measure, and arrogantly dismisses anything outside that realm - an attitude which in my opinion is extremely unscientific. Where is the scientific openness to new possibilities and discovery?

So back to Covid-19. My suggestion is that some of us have a gut-feeling that the whole Covid thing stinks of mega-corruption and intrigue at the highest level - and that this gut-feeling is just as valid as when it saved your life on the bike (Hemi) - and other examples people have given. Indeed, it has saved my life too, and saved me from big shit, and when I ignored it, it cost me dearly.

Dismissing as 'conspiracy theorists' those who have a gut-feeling that Covid-19 is big-shit being deliberately perpetrated on the general public seems to be rather a cheap get-out, especially when gut-feeling has such a track-record of as a source of valid knowledge that has saved people's lives.

(PS: everyone probably know this but the words "conspiracy theorist" were invented by the CIA as a means of countering those who questioned the official version of how JFK was assassinated. It has been used extensively in the same vein ever since. I have to say, it was a stroke of genius by the CIA in furthering and protecting their own agendas).

Billy's gonna cut in here. None of this is perfect & we all cut corners. Remember, we were cutting corners even before this pandemic reared its ugly head; that's human nature. The Governments of the world are really just issuing blanket safety advice when they say, you have to do this or do that (wherever possible), you see the caveat in brackets.

you are right
people don't have listen to people who pray on poor scientific literacy,
BUT to understand that it is poor scientific literacy,
one has to look at the for and against
when they are selling books they say were dictated to them by aliens.
I have this nasty habit

now there lays the problem
for a lot of people

Credibility.
Scientific Credibility.
who has it
those who are
in the main stream
who have a wall
full of framed pieces of paper
nailed to there wall
or those Scientists

full of the same

ain't Credibility a bitch er

they are suppressed

they are

and when asks one self
the question
WHY
one tends to come
to the conclusion
that something smells
so you look a little more
at the for and against
between these Scientists
that is

I would love to be able to write and create music, my brother did a set of cover songs on Easter Sunday for Sullyfest 2020 online, he prefers making his own songs though.
Do you let anyone listen to your songs? I will take it to PM as all of this is off topic here.
